I've been using glycerin for my liquids as of late. I've had 100mg unflavored nicotine juices that require very little of their concentration and a whole lot of something mixed with them. I've been choosing to just mix glycerin with them in the appropriate concentrations, resulting in about 88 percent being glycerin and 12percent nic juice. (makes 12mg juice).

After using this method i've noticed a lot of my atomizers performing poorly or straight up dying. I've gone through about 1 a week, 2 from my kit purchase and 1 from a different supplier.

I don't have any more to test out a different concentration, but noticed with the one barely surviving atty, if i use just a pg mix it doesn't stop working regularly like before.

Does too much glycerin in your mix cause your attys to get dried out or clogged in some way?

Any experience with this?

Yup.

VG will mess up an atomizer faster than PG. I have found that cleaning my atties over night or every 48 hours solves this problem.

Most people do not do this method. I came up with it myself. But 60 days in all my atomizers are still working.

Note: I vape a lot of VG.

I've found that the heavier liquids with high % of VG and/or Glycerin while giving loads of vapor, due seem to clog up the atty. I think once clogged up a bit, the air flow is lower and the atty coil heats up too much causing shorter life span.

I've been running with 75/25% PG/VG mix and that seems to have a good mix of vapor and low clogging.

So, if you're not alergic to PG, get some (very cheap MyFreedomSmokes) and work your way thru the mix percentages until you find your sweet spot.

I haven't yet tried Cozzicon's alcohol method of cleaning attys yet. I just run mine under hot water at the sink for several minutes and then dry them out. I only do that once a week or so. I've been using the same Joye mega atty for almost two months and haven't had a problem with it after using the hot water method.

I use mostly VG liquids, but I mix in some PG with VG in a cart here and there and switch back and forth from PG to VG often. Since PG and VG are pretty much water soluble and I don't allow my attys to dry to the point of crusting over, hot water makes them look new inside and the coil glows cherry red when I do a burn. VG liquids are tasty all the time and the vapor is thick and voluminous when I exhale, which is what it's all about.

Flooding is your enemy. The filler must be the right size for the porosity of the media. Once you get that right, the rest just works well.

thank you, i think that's what I require is a different proportion like that. i'll give it a shot. i'm so used to the massive vapor with my mainly vg mixes, but i'll have to temper my need for that much now in order to save my atties i think haha
