Hi all,A couple of days ago I was checking out a local spicery store and bumped into a bunch of these bottles called Strands Essence. Apparently they are flavourings to be used with beverages and indeed most of their stuff are replicas of various liquors but they seem to be rather high in concentration (recommended dosage on the bottle = 25 ml of the concentrate per 750 ml) and dirt cheap. I grabbed a bottle of "Irish Cream" out of curiousity as the ingredients indicated on the bottle are "glycerin, water, flavouring, alcohol (max 1.2%)", and some acidity regulators and the like (E300, E202, E211, haven't looked them up) so sounded pretty safe for vaping. The stuff in the bottle smells JUST like Irish Cream, including the alcohol part. I've mixed a 5 ml test and it's steeping now. Meanwhile, I googled the producer, they're Swedish and are called Gert Strand AB with plenty of distributors all over the world. Here's their website and here's their online shop. My question is: anyone ever tried these flavours, any thoughts, ideas, opinions? If the Irish Cream turns out good I might try some other of their essences (like I don't have any to choose from. Counted all my bottles the other day and I've got over 60 flavours by now and more on the way. I'm a flavour junkie )

Hey that's a cute kitteh! :)

As far as the irish cream: I initially mixed it at 5%, left to steep and after 2 days decided the smell was too weak so upped it to about 10% and finally tried dripping this morning. I'm afraid I'm not exactly blown away. The resulting juice is thicker than I'm used to (I usually mix at 70PG/30VG), probably because the flavour's base is VG. Anyway, it is kind of cream-ish, kind of coffee-ish and maybe it'd shine at higher % but at 10% it's nothing to write home about and not even close to what it smells like in the bottle. It's definitely vapeable though, reminded me of some dekang juices I tried. Overall, it's not a disaster but not exactly a revelation either. I've now used all of the 2ml I had mixed so perhaps will try again at 20-25% some time later and also get some other of their concentrates to try. Will report.
