Strange Metallic Taste Every Head - Aerotank

Hi guys,
Recently been getting a very dodgy taste from my Aerotank.
Only been happening the past few days.

The vape has also started tickling the roof of my mouth (very strange, dont ask lol)

Tried different juice and i have tried a stock brand new head and i have tried multiple new heads which i have put a Sterile Cotton wick in.


Its driving me mental!

Its sat on an Ego Twist - tried every setting between 3.2 - 4v


Its starting to really put me off vaping. Spending more time changing out coils and rewicking than actually vaping at the moment!!!

Tried the usual cleans with very hot water and alcohol etc

I've figured it out after about 3 hours messing around including making new juice!

I found an old normal ego battery and tested that out.
Put a volt meter on it, coming out at 3.9v.
Tested both batteries for any voltage drop or climb. Non apparent.
Put my aerotank on the older battery, works perfectly.
So, I started looking for any differences.
After a long time ...... about with it, I decided to try pulling up the centre post on my twist.

Bobs your uncle it worked!!!

I think it must have been shorting slightly somehow.
But, the coil fired, so I'm thinking that it was creating some kind of sparking which caused the dodgy taste and the tickle as there may have been a surge.

But it's fixed now.


Can't wait for my svd to get here!!!
