Hello guys ;)

On the beggining - don't blame my English - I'm from Poland and I'm not the best in grammar :/

I have got ijoy solo v2 200W and I bought TFV8 Cloud Beast. I've been vaping 3 weeks on coil V8-T8(0.15ohm, max 260w). Everything was good - taste and cloud, byt I decided to do my first RBA. Of course - I did it bad... So i decided to change my coil for the second one. I forget that I haven't got liquid and now this coil is 'little black' (I washed it in hot water and it works btw.)

Byt the main problem is - after that, I decided to put my first coil and start vaping like it was 1hour ago. I replaced the coil (0.15) and.... my box showed me 0.02 ohms, and when I was clicking power it was saying 'ohms too low'. After some tries it showed me 0.6 ohms instead of 0.02. I said 'okay' maybe something is wrong with this coil. Last 3 days i was vaping on this burnt coil but max puff could be just 0.6sec.

Today i went to the shop and bought V8-T8 0.15ohms. I filled it with liquid, waited 15minutes and.... 0.02 ohms too low...

I watched and read a lot on internet but noone said something which can help me. After cleaning all the vape and tank, everything what could i clean (without water, just simply cleanex) my box started to do some strange things - problems with power on and doing some strange things...

If anyone can help, I will be very happy :)

Thank you

If you are getting the same error message with both tanks, it sounds like you mod might be bad. Can you take it back to the shop where you bought it and have them take a look at it?
There is no longer guarantee on my mod :/

But I tried previous tank (unlimited stock from ijoy solo v2) and it was working, so it must be problem somewhere in Cloud Beast...

Do you or somebody else know how can I fix it? I realized that this metal thing (on the bottom of tank - this connect tank with box) isn't stable and i can move it.
Do you mean the male threaded part is loose?

Or is the whole base of the tank loose?

If the male threaded part is loose, the tank may be dead--I've never seen that part come loose.

If it's the base, make sure the glass tank is seating properly and that both the bottom and top threads on the coil aren't cross threading during assembly.

If the center pin on the bottom connector is loose, it could have caused your problem. Try tightening it, is should have a screw head on it. Or maybe the insulator between the pin and the outer threaded collar is bad. If so, maybe it can be replaced, and maybe not. Welcome to the board.

I am talking about (on the pic) this white 'circle' on the bottom. I can move it.

Today I tried something with this coil and now it shows me 0.28 ohms. I can vape on 80w (instead of 130w like it was always) but tge taste is not good :/

I cant check the ohms without the coil, but my previous(this one which I burnt) V8-Q4 showed 0.16

After buying new coil I asked him why my coil was showing wrong ohms. He said that it might be something with chip on previous coil.

There is a problem, because in vape shops in Poland they dont know anything about some problems. The only thing what can I ask is 'what liquids have you got'. Every single problem I had to solve by myself, because on polish forums is also nothing about technical problems...
Thats why I'm here :)

But now it works, just feeling a cotton while vaping...

Remove the coil head from the tank, screw the tank on the mod and push the button to check for resistance. It's a simple way to check for a short in the tank itself or the 510 connection on the mod.

I share your vape shop frustrations...

If you drop two or three drops directly on the coil, does the cotton taste go away for a few hits?
What power level are you using?
Have you tried 10-15% lower wattage to start and after a tank or three, begin to bump it up to your "normal" (Sweet Spot) level?

Is the tank leaking/spitting/gurgling?

Cheers

Okay, I'll do it in 2 hours

Yeah, after fixing i started to vape on 80w (best is 120-180) but it was the same cotton taste. I did not dropped liquid directly on coil yet, but I will do this.

No tank is doing normal sound, nothing strange

Final tip:
Ignore the wattage suggestions on the coil.
Find the best wattage for you.
Some juices/flavours like more watts, some less, some need more air flow, some less, some wick quickly and some don't.
You have to find the right "shape" of your vape. It's a personal thing.

Have fun

Ohh, first time i hear about this, I was always vaping between best wattage on the coil. I will remember this useful notice.

But the problem is that it taste like a cotton on every watts, 50, 80, 120, 150

If it taste like cotton, it means there is not enough juice in the cotton.

Either because it's not wicking well, or the cotton is burned and cannot wick anymore.

Try to trouble shoot the wicking first, and look at the coil to see if the cotton is burned.

If the mod is not reading properly, trouble shoot if it's the tank or the mod (try another tank), then trouble shoot all the connections. I.e. check the spring in the 510 connector, make sure your coil is seated properly, etc.

You may need to make sure your coil is correctly seated, I might try a different juice as well. Depending on your wattage, it could be wicking problems, some folks poke a few (small) holes in coil cotton to help it wick better, that may be an option. Or, you may simply have a bad coil, or this new tank isn't "to your taste," is another possibility. What happens when you use other tanks, flavor wise? If the flavor is only bad in the one tank, I'd have to think to check the coil, maybe replace it, maybe try one of the different resistance coil heads. I'm not a smok user so these are generalities, but I wish you the best of luck.

Always properly prime a new / unused head by fully saturating all exposed wicking material with liquid.
Always start new fully primed head at a lower power level to prevent scorching / burning the wicking material.
Gradually increase power over at least the first half tank.
Always ignore the reccomended watt range, start low & work up to find your personal sweet spot.
Vape to your taste not to a number.
