Strange Signature Editing Error

Hey there, o mighty forum-lords!

I was just attempting to edit my signature around a bit, and seem to be getting an odd error. I'm attempting to set the following:

BEWARE THE WHEELCHAIR NINJA...
Currently rocking: 2x Provari Mini, 2x VMod 2.0 -- GP Spheroid, Bulli-Smoker A2, Fake DID, AGA-T+, HH.357's -- Waiting for: Mokume Flair, MCM 20

...but when I hit preview, or submit, I get the following error returned:

[h=3]The following errors occurred with your submission[/h]

• Your signature cannot be longer than 400 characters including BB code markup.

I'm not using any specific markup code -- I have bold and underline on one line, centering, and italics with reduced font on the other -- and they're editor options, not using any bbcode directly. Running a character count returns 184 total characters -- so I'm not sure where I'm over the limit. Any ideas?

No.... read the bottom line closely. I changed ordering, removed a few things -- whats in the quote is not whats in my signature.

Edit: If it makes a difference in trying to figure out why I'm not able to change it to something with LESS letters than my current signature -- last time I edited my signature was before the most recent site update. Attempting to update it now only gives me the error above.

Have you tried deleting your current sig, then saving, and then adding it back with the changes you want and saving it?

Ok, problem solved. Classwife helped me out -- I still don't see the extra BBCode you mentioned, Classwife -- however, I copied the lines I wanted to add out and pasted them in a pure text editor, stripping any formatting from them. Went to the signature, re-pasted the raw text, then reformatted as desired... now it seems to be working. Still don't understand why it wasn't in the first place though!
