Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew! lol. Glad to hear it's something common & treatable. You'll be better in no time and vaping again like normal. Except, with your problems, I personally would suggest trying to get rid of vaping altogether,. But that's just me.

Ok, here is the verdict. Doc says untreated sinus infection worked down to throat. I was a lucky winner (10th patient gets a needle in the rear). Sinus meds, antibiotics as well.
VG was coating my sinuses and throat. The sudden switch to 50PG really cleaned things exposing the irritated areas.
Negative for strep though.

Good news then, about the non-strep. But after those antibiotics, you really might need something for your mouth -- antibiotics play hell with the good bacteria along with the bad, and that VERY often means the thrush comes out to play in the mouth, making it feel raw and sore. The Activia yogurt helped my mouth a lot, after my course of antibiotics post-appendectomy.

Did the Doc say that the VG was coating the throat and higher PG cleared it up?

Also, what was his/her opinion on you vaping in general?

Doc approves of vaping, I think more than he actually says, but insurance (or partners) require that added as long as it is to stop smoking then stop vaping. Whatever.
I told the doc while on VG I get a lot of phlegm in the am that tastes like my juice. When I vape PG it cuts it loose and I can clear my throat fully. Also there is less crud from VG to begin with. Kinda like that first cigarette in the morning. It would clear my throat.
VG seems to just add to the hacking. Note: this is a voluntary hack to clear throat, not uncontrollable due to blockage or anything. It is a comfort thing.

Now, doc did not say Yes, that is what is happening. Did not say I was off base. But did agree that 'since' the PG was harsh to me and I could feel it clear out my throat ... the 'phlegm' tastes just like my VG ADV and is only present when using max VG... he kinda handled it like 'what else could it be?' Vape residue.
