Strange taste and smell in V4L Vapor King cartomizers

Hi,

I just got my VK package today and I have one question for VK users.
I've been vaping for some time now, I used to vape Green Smoke and some others products, I've been more than excited about VK, and now I am little confused what to think.
The VK product is amazing, it is everything I expected and more when it comes to everything but the cartos.
The thing that bothers me is strange cartos taste and smell (not burned smell)....
I have weird taste in all cartos, especially in banana and chocolate flavor, so it seems that it is the taste of PG base, but I didn't feel it with Green Smoke or any other products before that, it taste like some kind of alcohol, very hard to describe, you could say it is mix of sour and sweet, but really alcohol like, and smell a bit "sharp" like that.
After exhaling the vapor that taste stays into my mouth, and I really can not get used to it.
At first I thought it could be the taste of PG, but I used e-cigs before and never had such experience.
Is it normal that VK cartos have such taste?

Is it a perfumey taste? I don't know what VK's liquid is, but a lot of the Chinese juices I tried at first had a perfumey taste to them. Blech.

I just noticed your title says V4L, Vapor 4 Life, while your post says VK, Vapor King. You may need to clarify which company you are talking about to get help with those specific liquids.

I think I could say that it taste like that, perfumey... I know they have factory in China, so it could be the reason for that, I am just not used to it, hopefully I will get used to it because I really like their batteries, PCC, and all accessories that comes with the product

I've had that perfumey taste in all the V4L juices I've tried.
Granted it's only two flavors that I tried though.

I threw them both away.

I'm guessing they buy Dekang juice, or cartomizers filled with Dekang juice.
There is much better tasting juice to be found.

Nobody should stand for sucking down perfume, unless of course they like it.

I am pretty sure that the juice they use is Dakang. The juice seems to me to have a chemical type of taste. kinda like cough medicine. (alcohol like) I use V4L cool cartomizers, but no longer use there juice.

Not even so much for the chemical taste, but for the inconsistency of it. 3 bottles ALL the same juice bought the same day, and ALL 3 tasted different. The quality control on the Chinese juice is not there.

I get my juice from Vapor Station. There juice is still inexpensive. $14.00 for a 30ml but it is made in India... Quality control, and FLAVOR is MUCH better.

You`ve made me verry happy, because I thought I was the only one who feels that taste
DC2 thanx for the link to the thread, I am reading it right now.
I threw my 2 flavors away too, with others I feel perfune taste too, but in smaller amount, could be because those flavors are stronger than banana or vanilla, where I felt it a lot.
Oettinger, you are buying empty cartos from V4L and then fill it with Vapor Station juices?
How long does one filling last? Is it hard to refill it?
Thanx for Vapor Station reccomendation, I think I will try ordering from them, they can not be worse than this taste I am having now

One more question regarding my initial thread... I`ve read a lot about perfume taste on this forum and now I am just interested does anyone knows where can I buy prefilled cartomizers that would be compatible with V4L Vapor King battery since I really can`t stand their flavors, and everything else is really fantastic, I am thrilled with their batteries and equipment generally. I will order some e-juice from Vapor station, but I would also like to know if there are prefilled cartos to buy from other manufacturers that I could use with VK?

Hi ProZac, I got a box from CigEasy when I purchased my Elegant(they came with the kit) Those were chocalate banana. He also threw in a Caramel Mocha that I liked.

I like having a few prefilled in case I can't find the time to mess with them. But there are some great juices out there. Ms T's and Velvet Vapor are a couple of my favorites.

If you look in the Tips and Tricks section there is a Cap Fill Method 4 Cartomizers. I'd post the link but I'm not sure how to do that. It makes it a breeze and works great.

If you're vaping Bananas Fosters or Irish Cream it may be alcohol. Rum? Whiskey? You didn't specify what flavors exactly give you this sensation. I tried their Irish Coffee and I could taste the booze. You may want to ask on their subforum if the flavors you have actually contain alcohol or similar flavoring.

Any kr808d-1 cartomizer is compatible with V4L batteries. There are plenty of them out there.

I like Vapor Station and Nhaler a lot. The taste is more "natural," for lack of a better word, and you can order small samples, so you won't be stuck with 30 ml bottles of eliquids you don't care for.

ProZac-You are not alone. I felt exactly the same way! I started off using Green Smoke as well, I thought it must be me because alot of folks rave about the V4L carts. I now fill my own but won't use juice made in China. It only takes a few minutes a day to fill enough to last me the following day so it hasn't been much of an issue. You are right, the V4L people are great, I just couldn't get past the taste of their carts.

I envy you because you are all in US and, as far as I figured, the best e-jiuces that doesn`t have perfumey taste are from US, and not all of them ship to Europe... I wrote some e-mails, maybe I will get lucky, but fortunately Vapor Station has store in UK which is good for me.
Regarding flavors, I am not fan of tobacco flavors, I prefer menthol or vanilla, maybe some fruity flavors, or something like that.

For the record... I a majority of the KR8 carto's are all made by the same manufacturer, just labeled differently... Just compare the websites for V4L and CigEasy...

There's a local company here in Wisconsin that is supposed to make PHENOMENAL e-juice (I think they're called Johnson's Creek?) -- their e-juice has only 4 flavors, but their flavor options are somewhat limited. And I do so love the convenience of pre-filled carto's.

V4L's carto's don't taste that strange to me. The clove is excellent, not exactly like a clove ciggie, but I love the real spicy flavor.

Also keep in mind that you're inhaling from a battery-powered device which (in my opinion) affects the flavor somewhat.
