G'day all,
When i fill up my carts using 24mg juice (no matter what flavour) after a few puffs i get a burnt taste from my eGo. I fill the cart and leave it for a few minutes to make sure all the juice soaks in. Sometimes i can do a couple of primer puffs and the taste will go away but not always.

Is the filling supposed to touch the atty? I don't think it is but thought I'd ask anyway.

Thanks for reading :)

It supposed to touch it - just not envelop it. The filling should be at the top of the cart and you should be able to see a little dimple in it where the atty bridge makes a nest for itself - this is how the juice reaches the bridge and wicks liquid to be vaporized.
If youre getting an acrid taste it sounds like your atty bridge may be too dry - that the juice isnt reaching it efficiently OR that you are vaping too fast - too fast for the wicked juice to keep up. Thats one reason I dumped cart filler and began direct dripping, as it was the only thing that could keep up with my 'demand'.
You could try a mixture of both by putting a couple of drops of juice directly onto the bridge, whislt sstill utilising your filled cart, if you are sure your cart is filled with juice correctly; that ought to stop the acrid taste.

has this happoned before? Is this the same atty that didn't have a problem?

I had a problem with a brand new atty where (after taking off the wicking and bridge) so its just the coil, i found 3 threads/wicks wraped around the coil causing the burnt taste. I normally dont take my atty's appart or mod them, but the burnt taste would come back after 2 hits.
