Hi all
I've been vaping for about a month, and have tried a pile of different e-liquids, but I'm seeing a common problem. I'd really like to expand my available flavors, but for some reason, every 'fruity' or 'berry' flavor I try, no matter who makes it, leaves me with a... chemically? aftertaste. The only way I can describe it is it's like I just walked through the perfume department at the department store.
So far, all I've found that I like is a tobacco, and today, I found 'Mango Smoothie' by Raptor Vapes, which is good, but a little too on the sticky-sweet side to vape for more than a little bit at a time.
Does this make sense to anyone? Any suggestions?

Perfumy notes are fairly common in fruit flavors, especially berry flavors. Steeping and breathing can tone down perfumy flavors sometimes but it will never completely go away. I've given up on trying to find a good blackberry flavor, blueberry and citrus flavors also seem to be tough. For fruit flavors I've had the best luck with peach and melon flavors, bakery flavors especially ones with cinnamon seem to be my favorite but everyone is different.

Keep in mind that if you've only been vaping for a month your taste will likely change so don't stock up too much if you find something you like and you also might find that in the future you might like some of the juices that you don't like right now.

That chemical/perfume thing
a) Often does go away with "steeping" - which is letting the juice age before use
If it's extreme, or if it also is reminiscent of alcohol - like "moonshine" - then I'd steep open top for a few days if possible too.

b) varies a lot by vendor. Keep trying new sources! Some flavorings ARE alcohol-based, and those always need to steep. Some flavorings are not, and may have less of that nasty taste to them sooner.
