okay, currently I'm using an eGo 1000mah and Vision clearomizers. I want to step up my equipment a bit (or a lot) and I'm trying to decide which direction to go.

Should I a) get a couple vision spinners and try a bunch of different stuff on those (carts, atomizers, tanks, etc)
or should I b) go ahead an get a higher end mod and then start with a smaller variety of stuff on top of it.

I know I'll end up with multiple mods and stuff on top of them before it's over, and I don't have any problem with that.

Just trying to figure out if there is any benefit to me using a higher end mod at this point, or if it would make more sense to wait a bit.

Thanks in advance for input

First determine if you're the variable voltage type to save yourself some money if you're not. Get one of those mini usb VV passthroughs... I have 4 of them ranging from 9.99 to 14.99 which should give you a good idea. If you do find you want VV and a mod w/batteries, get a Vamo for around $40.00. If you're crazy about it, then, and only then, you might want to consider a high-dollar investment like a Provari. Myself, I only need the higher voltages with one juice I like and just use my passthrough or Vamo then but my other juices are just fine with 3.7 volts ego batteries... or a plugged in ego passthrough if I want a bit more bump. Anything approaching 5 volts chokes me so its all about what kind of vape you like but stay low dollar until you decide that.

Yeah get yourself a twist, I found by doing this I now know what settings i like for diff liquids as well as delivery products, and was a cheap way to,go about it. They well always be in my arsenal. My new Vamo is on order. Love getting new stuff. Just call me a big kid. Lol. Congrats on your choice to Vape.

Depends how much money you've got. The Vamo is great for the money (a friend has one) but if you can afford it many people would suggest a Provari (possibly the mini with an extension for use at home). In my mind, if you can afford it, get the best. Otherwise anything else will just be a temporary measure until you can afford what you really want. The thing to avoid is having loads of stuff lying around you don't use cos you've grown out of or bought something better.

Yes you can get into the shiny mechanical mods but they need to be paired (in my opinion) with an RBA to get the best out of them and that's a big commitment for someone who's just starting.

thanks again ASH.

I've been looking a the Provari, Z-Max, etc. I'd love to get a Provari, just trying to research and think it out before dropping that kind of $. There are almost too many choices, almost ;-)

I'm really enjoying vaping, and am working my way off analogs. Given what I've been spending on the analogs, I don't mind spending money on vaping gear, just trying not to waste it.

On the flip side: With what's going on with the FDA and in State governments, you'll use whatever you buy. That's why I have those 4 mini usbs.. who needs that many? Someone who doesn't want to be left without due to bans or someone who doesn't want to pay an 86 or 95% tax. So, yeh, I have 2 ego 1000 mah passthroughs. 2 egp 650 mah passthroughs and 4 ego 650 mah, the 4 mini usbs, the vamo and am shopping now for a mechanical and a box VV. I would hate to depend only on one Provari and them either staying in business with all this legislation/regulation/taxing pending or wait while they meet the Fed's requirements... ie: I don't put all my eggs in one basket.
