Strawberry flavoring has a weird taste

I've now tried 3 different strawberry juices from 3 different vendors, and all of them seem to have a common characteristic for me. The aftertaste is pleasantly accurate, but on the puff, they all have a distinct "melted plastic" taste. It's strong enough to override the pleasant aftertaste. I initially thought it was a bad juice or bad clearomizer, but now I'm starting to think it's a common issue with the flavoring itself. Is this just my weird taste buds, or are there certain flavors that have this problem? Anything I can do about it?
