Is it the battery that is stripped or the charger? In answer to your question, I’ve had my Ego-type batteries for over a year, in heavy use, with no problems. They have a connector on the bottom though but no problems until I had to use an adapter on them for a different tank. The adapter stripped two of them. :( I’d be more than a bit put off if my batteries had stripped because of the charger after just four months. Could it be you were screwing them on too tight?

Can't say I've ever stripped any ego batteries. However, stripping is quite common with over tightening the toppers and chargers, among a variety of other problems including depressed center pins, etc. If you are, in fact, stripped, there's no coming back from it and the battery will have to be replaced, I'm afraid. Welcome to the Forum and good luck!
