Hi guys

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend!

Ive got into diy e juice pretty heavily now and im loving it. Ive got about 8 ejuices steeping (hate waiting!) At the moment and one of them is menthol. I used to really enjoy menthol analogues so I thought id try one. I tested it and after a few days and I cant really see it getting much better without filling the 10ml with too much concentrate. Is there anything that any of you kind people can reccomend that is a VERY strong menthol flavour that doesent take much in a juice to blow your head off?! Are the crystals any good?

Thank you for all your help guys and gals :)

Steve

Thank you ocelot, although that looks like a eliquid rather than a concentrate which im after. I have some koolada flavouring as well as menthol, its been steeped for a few days now but not giving me much. I might be impatient though. I was looking for a cooler less vapour rub type menthol and wondered if crystals is the way forward

Thanks again

You could try either of these from Nude Nicotine. I'm currently using "Minty Menthol" and it reminds me a lot of a cross between standard menthol and Rumplemintz

Seems these are extremely concentrated and actually mix well by shaking and do not seem to require much if any steep time.

You can buy menthol crystals online and fairly cheaply. I bought an ounce two years ago and still have half of them left. A little goes a long way and they dissolve well in PG/VG. You can experiment and adjust the strength. Be careful... you can melt your mouth if you get it too strong!

Agreed. I bought some crystals and filled an old 10ml bottle 1/4 way up and then poured in some PG to fill.

It's crazy-strong stuff. Next time, I'm going enough just to cover the bottom of the bottle.

1 or 2 drops into a mixture (10ml) and that's enough for me. It's mad... :)

Oops, I sorry. I misunderstood your post. I saw that you are into DIY, but I thought you were looking for a pre-made juice.

I like 33 Grams Menthol Crystals (get the USP ones) dissolved in 21.25 ml. Everclear (PGA). This will net Menthol 66% (by weight) Flavoring. Start at 1% in your DIY e-liquid. I like this much better than any PG recipe as long as you don't mind using PGA, it is noticeably better in my DIY. I'm pretty confident most or many commercial menthol e-liquids are made this way.

Thanks tadow, very informative ill give it a go!! Trying to find that elusive all day vape!

My pleasure Steve, I too am still working on a good DIY-ADV. Be careful with that menthol concentrate, I am finding that even at 1% it can be rough on TH unless blended down with some mint or something else. I am currently steeping a batch with 'Vanillin 10% in PG' at 0.6% in the juice (which turns it pink like some of the store bought stuff) with a little less menthol, this will help smooth it out a bit. Next on my list is going to be some strong peppermint with a touch of the menthol, I'll let you guys know how it turns out!
