Stuck Locking Ring on SVD

I do my best not to over-tighten anything with my vaping gear. I had unscrewed the locking ring just slightly to allow the air hole on my igo to face away from me. After a few days I just realized it's totally locked up - any ideas on what I can do? Thanks.

I don't have an SVD, but had a similar problem a couple of days ago with a Bagua 14500 and folks here helped. The suggestions that I think helped were:

- Remove the tailcap and put it in the freezer for awhile, then
- Try to turn it with the tailcap off the mod.

Actually in the case of the Bagua, the tailcap come apart by unscrewing the contact screw, but even then I couldn't unlock the lock ring until I did the above.

I was actually considering this, but I was a little concerned about the electronics - anybody know if this is safe with a vv/vw mod?

Does the tailcap have any electronics?

Also, I forgot that I used a pair of nitrile (the rubber ones) gloves to help with the grip. For flashlights, I've heard that you can try to put masking tape around the ring to get a better grip also.

I don't understand what you mean by locking ring? My SVD doesn't have one because there is nothing to lock
