Stuff coming off my anodized silver drip tip? [picture]

Okay I was vaping away with my BRAND NEW silver anodized drip tip just now and my teeth scraped the thing and I notice they kind of scraped of some silver stuff so I took a paper towel and rubbed it all around the drip tip and a bunch of silver metallic stuff came off... What's up with that? What is this stuff that is coming off of it? Is it safe to be ingesting this stuff? Also, just to clear up any possible dilema that might come from this- this tip is BRAND spanking new. There is no chance whatsoever that the stuff that came off could be "gunk" build up. I rubbed the whole thing down inside and out and quite a bit of this silver stuff came off onto the paper towel. Someone please help??

Um, sorry probably just manufacturing dust/stuff.. Looks like a trip through the washer is in order.. I'll look at some tomorrow and post if this is on more of them. Thanks for pointing it out..

Btw what does "anodized" mean exactly?
