Hey
I'm being stupid. I know I am. And i know i will kick myself for being so stupid. But here goes...

What is missing from my mvp2? I recently received it secondhand, and there appears to be a piece missing from the connector to fit my atty. but i cant work out what it is so i can figure out what to get, or to ask for my money back if its missing a vital part.
Please help. And feel free to call me stupid for not working it out.

Well there is a collar that screws on the 510 base that creates a platform that the base of the atomizer will rest on that supports the atomizer base so you don't risk breaking the 510 off in the mod should it get knocked over or dropped they are a couple of bucks and you get one with the purchase of a protank2 system but can purchase them separately from most vape shops

That's very odd. It almost looks like it has an extra adapter screwed onto it (I don't know, perhaps an 808 adapter?) Does part of the top unscew?

Even so, it looks like the smooth collar is much shorter than it's supposed to be......

Yes thats exactly what i thought - it basically looks like a male 510 on there. But nothing seems to want to unscrew. Not sure what the connector should look like without the collar (no collar came with it) to compare and see if it has something extra stuck in it

The mvp v2 is 510 and ego threaded and the larger threads at the bottom are for that collar that is a pedestal of sorts so depending on the carto, tank, or RDA/RBA that you are looking to use on the mod will determine if you need that collar pedestal or not if you use an evod or Kanger mow style you won't need the collar a pro-tank 2 full size, nautilus full size or a RDA like a zenith, plume veil will require the collar for additional support. Hope that helps you out.

Unlike sigelei box mods the Mvp doesn't have a recessed 510 it is a raised 510 with the ego thread and the larger thread at the very base is for the collar that is missing I have the MVP v2 and it is a great starter mod so I can assure you that there isn't anything that will prevent it firing an atty missing, just the support collar to stabilize the base of the atty and again you should be able to go to a vape shop and show them the mod and what your looking for and be able to help you with it and like I said they are only a couple bucks.

But does the collar change the connection or is it just for support - because right now its literally the opposite connection than what i need (nautilus mini). It is like a male 510 now. Will this collar convert to a female the ?

No, foggyroomz, your missing the point.

The very top threads, which should be INTERNAL 510 threads are a) EXTERNAL threads instead, and b) look like a coarser thread than a 510 (not positive about that 2nd part). It's not just a missing beauty ring.

This looks like it will probably still take ego-threaded heads, but it clearly won't take a 510 head. Perhaps you can find an ego->510 adapter? (The other way around is much more common).

View attachment 390220 this is what it should look like without the collar

So does the piece at the top come out? Because I have the large threaded piece right at the bottom, then a second smaller threaded section, then a third section smaller again with a thread. It seems like I should have the large thread section, the second middle section threaded and then a hollow smooth cap with an interior thread. I'm definitely missing that top cap.

No.. I think you have an adapter. You're not missing anything, your 510 connection is just underneath the adapter. You can't remove the standard Ego/510 connection without doing some rather serious MVP-modification. Have you tried unscrewing the top part? Just grab it by the threads (tweezers/pliers/vice grips/hand) and try and loosen it.

I never seen an MVP it looks almost like a 510 male thread instead of the 510 female receiver now that i look at it but my question is how in he!! did that get like that i have serviced and sold hundreds of those at my friends vape shop and never seen one like that

It's probably something similar to this.

Hm.. Yeah very weird. I definitely feel like it does screw off.. It even looks like it's not "one piece" in the pictures.
