So I'm on day two using my joye eGo manual battery!!! I placed the pv in my pocket with atomizer and drip tip in place!! Got in my car to drive to work! After about 15 minutes or so I pulled it out to take a hit or two. The entire unit was hot! Not burn ur skin hot but hot enough to know something was wrong! I had forgotten to put the protective sleeve on it to prevent accidentally pressing the button!!! The atomizer smelled burnt! Did I just ruin this atomizer or can I continue to use it!!!! Luckily I had the forethought to bring along another atomizer!!

If it was hot it probably still works but probably not well and probably not for much longer. I would pretty much write it off.
It may be damaged. For sure I wouldn't write it off without trying it though.

But as noted ^^ I don't always follow my own advice, LOL.ive had a mod do that before, the switch would be on but the button would not be pressed and it randomly turned itself on and started burning the hell out of my atomizer... i would give it a soak in vodka and shake it up pretty good, and then slightly dab it off, and run juice through it. it may still be useable, but as CBB probably not for long. I would recommend you immediately pick up a new one, or maybe even some cartomizers. cartomizers I feel are more forgiving when accidentally activated, as they are able to hold much more juice, and I have never had one retain much of a burnt flavor after being well cleaned after accidentally vaping it for extended periods.
See if it gets hot again first. Give it a good alcohol soak. Rinse and let dry. Use it until it quits. I did that once and the atomizer lasted another 2 months so don't write it off just yet.
PVs get hot... you'll have to wait and see if your atty is ruined, it could go either way. I've friend them before and they've continued to work.

I have some boge LR cartos on their way as we speak!!! Also some new juices as I'm not getting much flavor out of the ones I ordered from fsusa! After some reading, I ordered new juice from vapor bomb (cinnabomb, blueberry and green apple) hopefully these give a better flavor profile than I'm getting now!!! Any other advice as to how to get better flavor would be appreciated!!!
P. S. Ok I tried the "burnt" atty!! It works but has a pronounced burnt taste! Any ideas as to how to get rid the burnt taste?
Try soaking it in coke (overnight if you have a spare) rinse it really good blow it out and let it drip the rest of the way dry or do a dry burn (put the atty on your battery without your drip tip and hold the button down for a few seconds then let off for a few until it looks like you've gotten all the steam off).
I haven't tried it with a burnt tasting atty but it works for getting rid of strong flavors that don't want to clean off. If it doesn't work it doesn't sound like you will be any worse off.
There are a ton of ways to clean them. Coke is one but, use diet Coke and avoid the sugar.
often times a good soak, and then run a lot of juice, blow juice out, and repeat. seems to work well.
I had a similar thing happen with a Riva...button wasn't pushed but it came on...smoke came out of it- it vaped on its own.
Contacted Liberty-flights and they are sending me a new battery as the battery was showing voltage output even without the button being pushed. Just a defective part I think...it would not recharge after this incident. It happened to my wife and about turned her off of vaping altogether...ughhh....

Ok so I soaked my "burnt" atty in diet coke over night along with an atty i was using with an cart! I didn't order additional attys or cartos with my initial ego kit! I didnt know any better at the time! The second atty I used approximately 3 days and it too had a slight burnt smell/taste! This burnt smell was no where near the smell from the really burnt atty. After soaking rinsing and drying the burnt smell was present in both attys! Is there anyway to resurrect either of them using some other method!
I have since received my boge cartos which I love. However, I just ordered a whole bunch of new juice and would like to try them without filling a bunch of new cartos and potentially wasting them!! Any suggestions on attys used to drip would be great!!! Thank you for all the advice!
