All of my mail comes through the infamous Sandston sort facility. If they got behind they would just throw stuff away or stuff it in a closet for a month or two. This is from an article in November of 2011. "While the facility reported no delayed periodicals March 9, auditors uncovered more than 7,000 delayed pieces. On June 7, 47 pallets containing more than 350,000 pieces of delayed mail had not been reported."
It is a little better since all the articles came out. Now stuff just gets thrown in any box on the street so we are constantly trading mail with the neighbors. Needless to say, we never mail anything if we have a choice.

Harmonic, hope it gets there in time but there's just no way for GV to control USPS other than the steps they're taking to try and alleviate some of the problems of timely delivery.

There is no shipper that is 100%. Several years back I shipped a new piece of sculpture I had just finished via UPS, insured from NJ to a dealer in Chicago. Got a frantic call from the dealer that the piece had arrived damaged as a fork lift had punctured the container it was shipped in. Had to fight UPS for the insurance with pictures of the damaged container and invoices showing the piece was valued at the amount insured for.
And then there were meds I had to have shipped to me that were sent in coolers and were supposed to be signed for that were just dropped off on the front porch to sit in the hot sun.

I found out through the agent I used for shipping that FedEx is the only one that even pays attention to "this side up" or "Fragile" labels, however that's a pretty pricey way of shipping.

yiddle i wasn't blaming GV these guys are my go to for a long time and have treated me well.
but its just my luck my packages always seem to end up a day or two later then what i figured on.
seems the more priority it is the longer it takes to get here. - props to GV for the reduced priority rate or i would give up on priority all together since the fist class packages always take the same amount of time.....

oh and thats a good vid. thanks for posting it again :p

Didn't think you were blaming GV
I was really directing my comments to the post about using something other than USPS. There's just no guarantee that using other shipping is any better.

It will be bing bang bam boom zip quick! lol--here's to hoping anyway, we'll do our best...Priority is almost always normally 2 days or three to outlying areas. but this can vary on us (if we got SWAMPED and couldn't get all orders out that day) and same thing with our friendly postal workers. Chris got hundreds of orders processed and out by Wednesday from the weekend, who knows...they deliver on Saturday so maybe you will get it then...

That's the best thing I've seen all day, and I've seen some pretty awesome things today.

cant wait danno :D

it finally changed the delivery date to june 4.
6 days for pri. good work usps.
geez seems no matter what happens or when i order i always get stuck waiting till after the weekend to get my stuff.
i cant wait to see how much quicker it is from tx :)

I'm in the same boat. Ordered 5/28 (holiday, I know), accepted 5/30 with expected delivery on 6/2. Just updated at the same time yours did and I have to wait til the 4th as well. At least I see it moving finally. I cannot wait for y'all to get this stuff moved to Texas. Maybe I can chip in for the gas?

The sad part is, I got a chrome drip tip because I was literally chewing through the plastic one. I have a tooth grinding habit and I keep it clenched in my teeth a lot while I'm writing.

I had a bet going with myself on whether or not the new tip would come before I finally chewed through the plastic one. Well, I wish the chrome one had been here today

That reminds me of an episode of Gilmore Girls, where they had a new mailman and the whole town was going around passing the mail that was delivered to them to the correct recipients. :)

thats funny : ) - Danno
