I have a Joyetech Evic Vt with a 0.2 Ni-coil, been on 6mg for a week. The problem is I go through a lot of juice! I tried 12mg out today and after work my tank is still almost full and with the 6mg I'd be close to empty(Sounds Great). I don't know if 12mg is to much, I start to feel dizzy vaping it but I don't vape nearly as often. I'm worried I'll be eventually sucking down the 12mg like the 6mg. Anyone been here before, any advice?

Thanks

two numbers to keep an eye on:

1: total mg per day
that is your mg/ml nicotine strength multiplied by amount in ml of liquid vaped per day.
For example
10 ml per day of 12mg/ml = 120 mg per day.

2: wattmilligram strength of vape.
that is watts multiplied by the wattage
For example
10 watts x 12 mg liquid = 120 wattmilligrams

it is usefull to have 2 tanks; one with a regular use low strength, and one for occasional use with high strength to stop you from chain vaping.

or with a dripper you can use low strength most of the time, and on occasion, add a drop or few of higher strength.

I often have a 18mg dual coil subohm tank handy for those times when the 3,6,9 or 12mg tanks just won't cut it.

There are really two habits your battling here: the "motor reflex" act of smoking (hand to mouth - inhale- hand away from mouth- exhale - repeat) and the dependency on nicotine.

Some folks say that if you can feel the effects of the nicotine (dizzy, light headed) then your using to much or using to much to often.

I'll chain vape the heck out of the 3-9mg tanks which to me is counter productive. I don't wish to vape more than I smoked.

That formula is a bit suspect. According to it I'm at 666 wattmillgrams.

Well that would certainly be on the very high side of things.
But if you are high on one but not on the other then its not so extreme.
24mg at 25 watts is 600 wattmilligrams, and I'm sure most people would consider 24mg at 25 watts to be high.

I was using a lot of 3mg juice so I jumped up to 6mg. I only subohm. I have cut way back on the amount of fluid I am using each day (from around 10 ml's to 4-5 ml's). I really wanted to cut back on amount of chemicals inhaled, so since I am now vaping a lot less, it's working out well for me. I have been doing this for a few months now, and have not increased the amount of liquid vaped. If I'm dripping and blasting clouds I can get nic sick really quickly (little stomach ache for me), but for the regular every day vaping it works well.

    :D

    I'm at 4,000 ish.

    To the OP...

Don't sweat it. If it's overwhelming cut down. If not, do what's necessary.

There's no magic number. It's what works for YOU that matters.

I'm ok with being off cigs again. With the 12mg it is really easy. I vaped about 5 mls of juice my first day with it. With the 6mg I was vaping almost 11ml. I don't want to start vaping 11mls of 12mg a day and thats my question.. If thats going to happen.

Thank You Nicoticket for making Wakonda!! I'm off cigarettes!
    Not likely.

I've been vaping 50mg @ ~80 watts for QUITE some time now and I've never felt the need to increase.

Usually from a vapers happy place they either stay level or decrease. It's getting to satisfaction and the ability to stay quit from cigarettes where experimentation will find us increasing overall daily nic intake.

Noob question...is vaping on a TC coil really anything like subΩing with kanthal?
In some ways, yes. In others no. The biggest difference, or perhaps I mean most noticeable, is flavor. The different wires make different juices taste differently. I notice little difference, for example, subohming SS wire in power mode than using the same wire in TC at subohm vapor volumes. TC (and stainless wire) is a godsend for people who like juices with complex flavor profiles, one of which I am not. But it's near astonishing what a difference 10 degrees of wire temp can make in bringing out different subtle flavor notes. Stainless,to my tongue, is by far the cleanest tasting wire, and rayon the cleanest tasting wick, I have ever used. I don't mean to suggest one wire is better than another; that's too subjective and to each his own. But they are different. Beyond that, the vape experience is much the same in the overall view, except for TCs ability to avoid dry hits.

I vape 6mg now but had gone all the way down to 3mg. I would go thru over a liter a month at 3mg, now its maybe 500ml. I do keep some 9mg around because I still have cravings after almost 4 years. I have a Origen dripper with a 1.5 ohm coil always at ready just in case I need a higher nic fix. I think that if 12 is working and you use it more like when you smoked instead of chain vaping just keep trying it and see what happens.

When I first switched to vaping I sometimes vaped so much I got too much nic. That generally happened when I was vaping through a really strong desire for a smoke and by the time I felt the nic, the need had passed and I could back off the vaping for a bit. I didn't let it bother me and after a while I lowered my nic level and also didn't get those bad pangs so often.

The most important thing for me at the time was to get free of cigs and it worked for me. A year later I was vaping without nic, so I didn't get used to the higher nic juice and then need more.

The advice to have different nic level juices around is great. Do whatever it takes to quit smoking. As long as you don't have any health issues that cause you to be careful with vasoconstrictors like nic or caffeine, I wouldn't worry about it.

BTW, the resistance you are vaping at with a regulated mod like yours is irrelevant. It's all about the watts you dial in :)

I used to think so. I no longer do, now I have Stainless wire.

I'm with you here. TC didn't catch my fancy at all.

But the past few months I been trying some of the newer TC stuff and I been doing more and more of it.

They say the pioneers take the arrows and with TC I took none of the arrows. But now they have a nice little settlement I'm sorta moving in.
