So i feel i got this whole subohm business straightened out as far as safety (AKA the most important part) i know rebuilding have been doing it for about 7months and all i needed to know now is
1. How much should i let my new vtc5's batteries drain?
1b. How can i tell the batteries need to be charged?
2. And finally what would be the best (economically friendly) charger i can use(currently using TR-001[trustfire white charger])?
2b. Additionally i would like it to be 26650 compatible since i will upgrade once the reviews come in on fasttech's 26650 mods(ideal but not required)
Any and all advice is well appreciated ^.^ <3

I recharge at 3.7, any lower than that and the vape drops off.

Oh, you will know. Your vapor production, as well as everything else, will drop off sharply.

2. And finally what would be the best (economically friendly) charger i can use(currently using TR-001[trustfire white charger])?

This is what I use http://www.amazon.com/Nitecore-IntelliCharger-i4-Battery-Charger/dp/B005UAI372

2b. Additionally i would like it to be 26650 compatible since i will upgrade once the reviews come in on fasttech's 26650 mods(ideal but not required)

It is 26650 compatible

Tried to change the font color of answers but the iPad won't cooperate. Hope this helps :)

Adding a link to Baditudes blog on battery safety, good stuff here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...eeper-understanding-mod-batteries-part-i.html

You'll need to purchase either an inline voltmeter or a digital multimeter to know when you need to recharge your batteries. I recommend recharging them at 3.5 volts.

Inline Voltmeter

Digital Multimeter

Already have a multimeter thank you though

another question did come up since im charging the batteries at like 3.7 volts how many batteries will i need can i stick with the standard 2? or will i need additional ones?

to add more information im buying 2 vtc5's and i own one vtc4(going to be used for my hana mod clone)
will i be ok with just that or should i buy more?

If you already have a digital multimeter, then you have the tool to measure your battery's voltage level.

I find it odd that you have allegedly been rebuilding for seven months and are asking these types of questions.

I recommend at least a pair of batteries for each mod that you own. Using them in a rotation will allow them to last longer longivity wise. You can never have too many batteries.

You are only charging your batteries up to 3.7 volts? A fully charged battery is 4.2 volts.

Edit: Maybe you meant you re-charge them when they drain down to 3.7 volts? That's a good idea.

Anyway, its impossible to predict how many batteries you will need. Much will depend how hard you use your batteries. Are you a light vaper, or a chain vaper? What ohm coils are you using? Sub-ohm will drain a battery twice as fast as commercially built coils.

To add some clarification i have been rebuilding on VV devices and havent had the need to buy anything more powerful than efest 18350's at 8amps so the charge time was relatively low any charger was good enough

And typo what i meant to say is (since im only discharging down to 3.7 on the mechanical) as my regulated device i think allows me to discharge my 18350's down to 3.4v or 3.2v(dont remember)

This will be my first venture into subohming and mechanical mods

An edit to my edit to answer your edit lol
I am a heavy chain vaper planning on dropping to the .4ohm and .3ohm range reaching watt capacities that the hana 30watt clone will not allow the hana is for on the go and the nemesis mech mod will be a at home device or when i want to show it off possibly work

but for this lets assume it is going to be an all day vape machine that i chain vape and take long drags from constantly with coils ranging from .3-.5 what would you suggest good sir?

if you end up liking sub-ohm as much as i do i would purchase a spare set at least for each mod . my .65 builds use 2 batteries a day each for my 2 main mods. i change my batteries at 3.8V because flavor (the most important thing to me) and vapor production start to drop. i also rewick my cotton each day because to me that flavor is best. i also use the Nitecore 4 bay charger, works wonderfully.

as you can see there is a little time spent each day to be successful at the lower ohms. thats why it isn't for everyone.

i also own 2 26650 mods with another hopefully in transit soon. i would hold off buying a clone as it seems to me the big boys haven't had all the kinks worked out yet. may not be inline with your budget but i would at least give BCV's BFM a look if you are serious about about sub-ohms with a 26650. all in my opinion only..good luck and be safe.

Well, that information would have been more helpful earlier in this thread. Your original background info was rather lacking to give a good response to your questions.

What other information do you seek?

Information Resources for Your First RBA

Mechanical Mod Proper Useage Guide

Thank you sir i will read over that but i think i have that information(guessing just from the tittle) my last question was just about how many batteries but i see what you mean about how various factors affect battery needs one more thing i do appreciate your patience with me ^.^

Well, you'll be going through batteries pretty fast at that low of sub-ohm vaping. 3 - 4 batteries per mod if you're a chain vaper. Also expect to drop you nic level of your juices as well as consume twice as much juice.
