Battery- sony vtc4 or 5

you will need a multimeter if you dont already have one.

besides a dripper and kanthal and wick material there isnt much you need. just make sure you dont short out the battery and stay within its limits.

The 2 batteries listed are going to be the best for sub ohm builds, because of the 30 amp continuous draw, if you are going to sub ohm lower, and can still get a decent to good safety cushion with a reasonable build, you also need an ohm reader and an ohms law calculator so you know how much amps you're drawing from the battery, and you need a good charger. If you're going to be dripping all day you're going to need at least 2-3 batteries.

He wants to get a Big Nasty, and those want 26650 batteries. Sony VTC 4/5s are 18650s. As Sthur says, use a MNKE 26650 at 4000mah.

The "Big Nasty" is a 26650 tube. The vtc series are 18650 batteries. I'd go with the recommendation of Sthur (above).

At the moment, I would recommend getting a cheap 18650 to 26650 Battery Converter. They cost about $2 from fast tech. and is basically a plastic tube that makes the battery seat properly. VTC's are pretty easy to come by these days and do a great job for sub-ohming.

This is a great choice if you are already vested in 18650 sub-ohming gear, but defeats the purpose of going for 26650 mods.
