Hello everyone. I'm new here, but not to vaping. I've been vaping for 6 years. I started with a 510, then an eGo. I was a dripper using debridged 510 LRs and 24mg juice. Now I use an MVP with iclear 16s and 18mg juice.

I'm sure the answers to my questions are somewhere on this board, but I don't have time to thumb through every page looking for them.

Over the past few months I've purchased an istick 50w, Cool Fire 4, innokin isub tank, and various other sub tanks. I've done some reading on sub ohming. I knows there's cautions. I know that I need to start at 6mg and lower juice.

I'm not interested in mech mods. I'd rather charge my mod in the car when I'm on the go than to carry a spare battery.

My questions apply to variable devices such what I mentioned above. My concerns are on safety. I know mech mods need 30amp batteries? Where as my Cool Fire 4 is 14.5 amps. I guess my question is, where do I need to take caution with a variable mod and a sub ohm tank? What triggers the battery to explode? Can battery shorts cause the battery to explode? Can I use a sub ohm coil at a lower wattage than what's recommended?

Thank you to anyone who answers these questions and provides any additional info.

Agreed. All new regulated devices now have the protection needed to keep you safe however if you feel excessive heat remove batteries if possible and place somewhere cool. If the device you choose has a built-in battery you are good to go if you need 18650 I would recommend LG hg2 they r new have long life and high enough amp limit for almost any box on the market now or the Samsung 25r they r cheap and great and I have personally pushed them way beyond thirty amps.Stick to the .5 ohm heads for now they work fantastically and can be on most anything out now.
