I just acquired my first mod and am still confused on batteries. I bought an atomizer that I have tested at 0.89 ohms and would like to vape at 3.0v - 3.2v. I am currently running an Efest IMR 18350 3.7v 800 mAh in a "hand me down" mod tube. This setup seems to be running just fine aside from the fact that it seems to be too high of volts which causes it to have that burnt taste. I have been keeping a VERY close eye on it as I am aware of the potential for disaster and have not noticed any heat coming off the battery. I also remove the battery when not in use and am in the process of ordering a safety fuse. I have been researching the AW LiFePO4 RCR 123 battery and would like to know if this battery would be safe/sufficient to withstand my applications? I only want to use 1. If so would I be able to use the same charger I already have, what specifications do I need to verify? From what I could understand is that you can use any battery that will physically fit as long as you are using a coil that is rated for that type of battery and won't overload the battery. I this a true assumption?
