Yes, that's very tall and skinny. Really sorry this happened to you - must have been very frightening.

As it happens, a good friend of mine was a smoker (also 6'6") and he had a collapsed lung. Switched to vaping and it's not happened again.

As others have said, it's really not possible to directly attribute your vaping style to your collapsed lung. That said, do follow your doctors' advice.

Out of interest, were there any warning signs?

You just acknowledged that there is zero science behind your belief

Omg lol im not even going to argue with you. I hope you realize how stupid you sound. Maybe i wont be the first and last person that it will happen to and then you will have your stupid science. Just because there is no science on something yet doesnt mean it cant be true.

Vaping or not is still very faith based.
Some think that vaping is worse than smoking and some think that vaping carries no more risk than breathing air.
I feel that both of those views are wrong.

So far most evidence shows that vaping is far less harmful than smoking.
However we do not yet know the long term effects of vaping.
Almost no one dies from smoking in the first 5 years or so....

I find it funny, anyone who shows up at ECF thinking vaping MAY have had something to do with their random "health" issues, quickly gets shot down and attacked because "their is no evidence"

2 years back, i all-of-a-sudden contracted "epilepsy" and started having seizures. At the same time, thats when my juice consumption skyrocketed(2mls a day upm to 15mls...) and i was lung vaping only. Just asking about it, i was shot down and told "how stupid" i am for not providing proof. Doctors dont wanna test anything and just perscribe meds (sorry i cant GET the proof YOU want).

Even if its a 0.000001 chance that vaping caused anything healtg related (with/out medical testing), there is still a chance it will happen to someone else eventualy.

Dont hate, communicate. Its all we can do as civilians.

I did not say it can't be true. I just suggest YOU cannot know, with the certainty you suggest, that it is true. You obviously are unable thread that needle.

The OP did not suggest vaping MAY have collapsed his lung. He is asserting it absolutely DID collapse his lung. And you too apparently are unable thread that very simple needle. Which seems inevitable when one is on the losing end of an argument.

Great, now apparently everyone is ASSuming things they need not.

Im not going to argue over who thought what. My beliefs are firmly held.

As far as my seizures, they stopped after i pretty much quit vaping(even on medication i still had seizures). Havent had one in 4 months, and i vape 2mls or less now. As far as "correlation is not Causation" - only thing thats changed in my life is my vape "style". Diet/exercise hasnt changed.

Im not pursuading your mindset, im just plainly "SHARING MY EXPERIANCE".

That's what i'm doing. Sharing my experience of my lung collapsing while at the same time puffing on my e cig very hard and powerful. Havent vaped like that in all my 5 years and had just been doing it for 4 days so for me it is pretty obvious.

....

And that Evidence is based on Averages.

Jim Fixx was an Ardent Advocate of eating Healthy Food and getting Regular Exercise. He Died of a Heart Attack at 52 after his daily run.

But does that mean that Eating Healthy Foods and Exercising is Harmful? Of course Not. The Benefits of a Good Diet and Exercise far Outweigh any downsides on a Population Level.

Can someone have a Health Problem related to Vaping? I'm not sure Why they Couldn't? But to the average Smoker who Can Not Quit, do the Benefits of average e-Cigarette use Outweigh the Risks? I think they Do. And by a Significant Amount on the Population Level.
