I need to switch up my game. A new device and a new RTA.

Recently I've been building either dual coil 6 wrap 22 or 24 guage wire. These builds usually come out to around .18 or .28 ohms respectively. I have fallen in love with my new doge x v2 and just love it. I also bought a mutation x v4 which I loved at first but now I hate.

I will explain why. For some reason with the mutation x v4 I am unable to get good flavor with good vapor production. It seems is there is not enough room for the cotton under the coils and it feels pretty cramped in there despite the deep juice well. The first time I built it up, it was great, but after that I could just never get it right again. Either it would burn too hot and have little flavor or the flavor would be great but very little vapor production. It also seemed abnormally harsh even though it is the same juice I used on all my mods. Any advice for building this one? I hear people doing all sorts of crazy builds with the mutation x v4 at like .1 ohms and even lower but if I do that all I get is a massive burnt taste. No idea why I can't do that. I use triple boiled organic cotton. Is there something better I can use to wick?

I also love the doge x v2. I can build it at .18 ohms and it is great but it is a tad too hot. It will sizzle for a second after I release the button and sometimes it just doesn't feel right. I feel as though the wire guage is too low (too thick) so it does not cool down fast enough. Of course I could also do my 6 wrap dual coil 24 guage builds which come out to .28 ohms but that just doesn't give me the hit I want. I recently lost the top cap and sleeve on a camping trip and can't stand the mutation x v4!! I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I loved the first build but now it is just harsh and unvapeable.

This is all on an unregulated mechanical mod (18650). I am thinking about purchasing a high wattage regulated device thinking it may help me tune my device the way I really want it to hit. I could build a much higher ohm build like .5-.6 ohms so it will cool down faster and I can just crank up the wattage on the device to compensate for that. Is my thinking correct? Will a high wattage regulated mod actually give flavorful, massive clouds that i am looking for?

I also have been thinking about switching to a rebuildable tank atomizer rather than a dripper. I love drippers but it can get messy and it is a hassle in the car. Any recommendations on a great RTA than gives hits like an RDA? I have purchased a russian 91 in the past and absolutely hated it despite all the positive reviews. The stupid posts would just spin and I thought it was a very stupid design. Can't believe all the rave reviews it go.

Also, I want a box mod. Probably regulated at this point. I have been a fan of Sigelei for a while now so I am probably going to purchase their 150 watt box mod. Any other recommendations? I want something that is easy to use, easy to customize to my preferences, and just reliable.

I love my TFV4 with the .15ohm quad coils on my IPV4 running at 100w. Great flavor, great clouds. pretty much like my dripper, but I dont have to drip. Granted it does such the juice. I fill it before I leave for work in the morning, make my 70 mile commute and the juice level is half way down the coil, refill it and vape during the day, then refill before my drive home. out of all the tanks and such i have tried this one is by far my favorite.

Another good one is the Crown. I havent bought one yet, but it has a good following on the forum, and a couple guys at my local shop have them. they keep trying to get me to pull the trigger, but once they get a black one, Imma gonna havet to get it.

Higher power mod for sure. You can build HUGE coils and get massive clouds when you can put more than 4.2V to them. Have you tried Nichrome 80? I use 24G N80 in my drippers. It heats up faster, but is more easily cooled by airflow and it's lower resistance. You can add a couple of wraps to your coils and keep the same resistance, but get bigger clouds and use a little less battery power. As for an RTA that makes clouds, I have the Billow V2. It's not gonna make fog like some RDA's will, but it with outdo a plume veil for sure. I hear good things about the Starre and Crown tanks too.

Best flavor I got from a mutation was with a single clapton coil made from 26 core and 32 wrap. I forgot the ohms though. I built it on a mech so it was probably .3 or .4.

Even when I ran the mutation on an ipv3, I just never cared for it. I have plenty of friends who love it though. I preferred my Doge V2 over it but rarely use it anymore either.

Right now digging my samurai v2, forge v2, and big dripper v1 (all clones). The samurai made me retire the derringer.

As for RTA check out the Aqua v2, orchid, or a big dripper (rda with tank on top).
