How about this scenario ... the OCCs the subtank came with were great ... every one you used from the 5 pack you bought taste like .....

Would this be true?
I vaped the 1.2 ohm coil that came with it for a day then tried the rta and after I gave up on it i put the 1.2 ohm occ back on and even the .5 ohm coil that came with it that i hadn't used yet tasted bad.

Can't help much with the OCC's.. Other than try a new one, make sure you put 5 big drops in the center and a drop in each side hole and let it set a couple of minutes before you put in in the base.

As to the RBA, did you dry burn it AND rinse it before inserting the wick? Before putting it on the base, make sure you put a few big drops on the wick after you have the tube portion (without the top) on. Put the base on your device, give it a burst of power then put the RTA top on, and insert it all back onto the rest of the Subtank. This is how I do it, using premade coils at .5ohms.

K...only guesses here.

my thoughts are that the 1.2 dried out a bit & gunked while you were messing with the rba, so it maybe wasn't wicking well & you were getting dry hits.

I dunno about the 0.5 occ ... maybe not enough airflow? Maybe a bad coil?

Maybe it's still machine oil from the rba & it tainted the juice .. but if you vehicle already dumped the juice & cleaned everything that shouldn't be the case. I soak new atty's in isopropyl alcholol for an hour & then take a toothbrush to them & soak for another 30 min to an hour before ringing in hot water.

The OCC coils you have (both the .5 and 1.2) can be rewicked and even recoiled. There are some good youtube vids on this if you google "rebuilding kanger occ". I've had great luck building my old OCCs to .8 ohm & rewicking. I cut the ends off my wick, fluff it up with a sewing needle, lightly push the ends into the OCC housing & then run the sewing needle through the middle of each side & it seems to help with wicking.

The occ cois need primed very well with juice before that first buttob fire, as once you have burned the cotton, the taste will not go away.

Another step is to simply take it to a vape store & tell them the problem. SpenD the bucks on a occ coil & get them to set it all up for you. I've found that most stores will be happy to help you until you get a satisfactory solution to the issue.
