I dont know maybe its just me but if i put say smurf cake extra flavor shot in my kanger giant or my gs air's and the same juice in my melo or nano its not even close the sub tanks have way more vapor but the other tanks have way more flavor. kind of feel like sub tanks are like call of duty ( not a good game but everyone recommends it)..:D

Kanger tanks have poor flavor all around IMO. I've got an Aerotank and a Nautilus and the difference in flavor is massive. Using the same peppermint juice in both as an example I can barely taste the hits from the Kanger but the Nautilus is so strong that I have to reduce the flavoring slightly if I want to keep from coughing.

They used to be similar in flavor but I noticed a distinct reduction in flavor from the Kanger tanks after they changed their coil design last year and went to the new coils with holes rather than the old coils with slots and wicks sticking out. Likewise I notice a big improvement in flavor from the Nautilus when they changed to the BVC coils. Needless to say I don't use my Kanger tanks at all anymore.

As for vapor, that all depends in what you're looking for. I run my Nautilus with a 1.6ohm coil at 19 watts and can get more than enough vapor from it. Subohming is just one way to make lots of vapor, but it's not the only way.

Well it's not magic, and its not because subtank has 7 letters.

If you want to compare two tanks, you at least have to put the same coils in them.
Even when you put the same coils in them, small differences between the wicking could affect flavour; wicking is kind of like an art; too tight, and you get a warmer vape, too loose and you get a more wet perhaps flooded vape; whether you stuff the wick down the juice channels , lay them loosely on the deck over the channels, or pack wicking tightly on the deck over the channels, all this makes a difference;

Then there's airflow

And tank materials: insulator material; the metals used;

size of the fog chamber compared to the gauge of the coil

All my tanks i use the store bought coils, and when i use my kanger turbo i have two .8 coils in it (making it .4 ohm) and it has the vape of a sub tank but flavor of a regular tank . i bought alot of mods and tanks i thought ohh i gotta get one of those. and all i use now is a istick 20 and a gs air the rest are collecting dust. To each his own i guess.

Oh; well if it's all prefab coils, even if you use the same value ohms, you wouldn't know the gauge of wire or whether the wire is kanthal or nichrome.

I haven't used a Subtank yet but from my understanding, it's the exact opposite with the Subtank vs Atlantis.

Maybe its just me, the istick and the gs keeps me off the cigs. I rebuilt the occ coils in the nano i used 26g kanthal i tried ....org.cotton, rayon, silica wick they all vaped great but tasted terrible so i went back to store bought coils. A friend of mine has a istick 50 and a Atlantis and i make his juice same juice i vape he loves it, but when i use his it just doesnt do it for me.

The way all the new tank heads are made the air goes through the coil center.
Flavor rda's typically have air flow onto the wick surface, forcing a more concentrated vapor stream =more flavor.

So if you increase the size of the coil, allowing more air through the center that does not contact the coil surface, you will get less evaporated flavor in the cloud as well.

It's the airflow. Any tank with a lot of airflow isn't going to have as much flavor. The nano is smaller, which may account for it's better flavor (I don't have one, but just surmising). You can shut off the air holes and do mouth to lung and it improves the flavor a bit. Not as good as a Kayfun, but still pretty good.

I switched from an Atlantis to a Subtank Mini (using the rba with a .8ohm) and I am more impressed with the flavor of the Subtank Mini. Maybe it's just me.

No sir, it's not just you... it's me too. :)

I have Protanks, Aerotanks, drippers, RTAs, KFLs, a Nautilus BVC, etc. etc... and ever since I got this SubTank Mini and iStick 30, they're all just taking up space in my vape box.

I call Horse Hockey. I get better flavor and vapor from my Subtank mini than I ever got out of that idiotically tight draw (with the airflow screw removed) kayfun3.1

I currently own 3 different subtanks (Atlantis, Herkales, Arctic) and out of the 3 its going to be the Arctic Tank that would create more FLAVOR with an even amount of VAPOR. Its a hell of a tank and it comes with 2 coils (0.2 40W - 100W, 0.5 30W - 80W) it meets everything i would want in a tank. Its brand new as well so searching for it wasnt easy and it tops any tank out there currently. Hard hitting, Great Flavor and Lots of Vapor. +A in my books!

Aspire stuff usually has better flavor. Sadly none of them actually work for more than 5 puffs for me before flooding and leaking and gurgling. So I've stuck with kanger because hey, I don't want to clean up a mess every five .......n ....ing minutes.

It's your wicking that's at fault....not the atty.

*ducking* "Taste" (ie Flavor) is subjective

I like the Kangers (aerotank V2's & Megas), I have a Russian and a Kayfun and some other mini dripper and the dreaded mini sub tank which I'm not pleased with.

my favorite depends on which mod V2's on the iStick 20s, Mega on the 30watt, Kayfuns on the vapor flask..and varying coils..etc. I've tried Nautilus and others and passed them to my daughter who has istick 20s and loves the Aspires better than the Kangers she's pilfered from us.

It's more about what' best with which juice, which tank and whick mod gives YOU the most satisfying vape. (there's that subjective implication again) *lol*

We currently have Kanger Aerotank 2's, Megas, Subtank & a Kayfun V4. Of those, the Kayfun does produce a very little bit more flavor. Not enough to make up for the added fiddle factor though. We have given away Nautilus, Protanks, Turbo, CE 4, CE5, etc. We use iStick 20W & 30W and Vapor Flasks. Everything we have produces great flavor and vapor. My personal favorite is the Subtank on the Vapor Flask V4. Taste is VERY subjective. Different juices like different power and air flow levels as do different people and attys. Use the combo that best suitts YOU !!! JMHO
