Would a 'carlingswitch' that says 12a 125vac 1/2hp 8a 250vac 1/2 hp work for sub ohm? Oh and its a rocker switch, thanks!

Look for a DC rating switch in the part number like in the image below:

If you're going super sub ohm, get a mosfet.

You need to reduce the heat and current through the switch with a FET and some added 15k resistance. There are no switches for the size of a mod that should go naked in an unregulated mod.

Actually there are, aha. I found some on ebay...but they're about 95 mm long

I see a lot of peeps suggesting mosfets for sub ohming...they've been around awhile and though I appreciate that there's not a whole lot of options for high current momentary's out there (and I'm not even going to entertain the "I run a 2A switch in my 18650 box pushing my .25 ohm duals and it works just fine...)... and of you do find one, it's the size of a bus... the bottom line is, mosfets work but they aren't the most robust. They don't take shorts very good, at the very least it's an expensive "one time" fuse... plus, imo... If you're building a mech, using a fet is cheating[emoji1]

Take a look at the switch in a Reo Grand... It's as basic as it gets, super easy to build with the right parts, takes up very little space and if built right, can handle what ever current you can throw at it... and they're indestructible... just saying
