Hey guys, I was hoping to get some comments on my situation. I've been using an EHpro KFL+v2 for about 8 months now. I use a rebuilt mini protank 2 for secondary flavors, and use them on my iStick 20w and 30w.

*I'm a low wattage vaper, and my protanks and KFL I typically vape anywhere between 6.5 watts to 9 watts. Otherwise everything starts to taste burned. I usually change my wicks and rebuild my coils every 2-3 days because it only takes a few minutes, and I don't like diminished flavor.

I've been pretty happy with the KFL setup, but decided to try out the Subtank since people were raving about it, and I wanted to experiment with an airier tank.

I've tried the subtank with the same juices I use in the KFL, but the flavor is pretty weak in the subtank by comparison. I only use the rebuildable section of the subtank, and have never used the prebuilt coils. I figure if I'm never going to shell out the money for them anyways, why even try? I've tried numerous things including:

-Tried all air holes. I mainly try to run it on 1 air hole.
-Tried multiple builds. I use 28 gauge kanthal, and have run a 0.5 ohm, 0.8 ohm, 1.0 ohm, and 1.2 ohm. I've tried macro/micro coils, as well as spaced out coils.
-Tried different wicking. I've done tight rayon, loose rayon, long tails, tails that end at the juice holes, etc.
-Tried different wattages from 7 watts to 25 watts.
-Tried putting a protank drip tip on the subtank, which actually did help a little bit.

I realize that the KFL is a flavor tank, but everywhere I read everyone is raving about the flavor in the subtank. In the subtank, I can taste some of the primary notes, but I get absolutely nothing from the secondaries. It's a totally unsatisfying vape for me.

I'm aware that the KFL is a mouth to lung hit, and the subtank is a straight lung tank.

So am I alone on this, or is there a significant flavor dropoff when going from a KFL to a subtank? I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong here. I put the subtank in my drawer for a long time, but my KFL is not liking the summer humidity and tends to leak more this season. That's why I'm trying my hardest to get this subtank to work, but it's to no success. Heck, the protank may even have more flavor than the subtank.
