I had 2 original KFL+ and my usuall setup was a 2.5mm diameter coil, around 1.3 - 1.4Ω. I was vaping for about 2 months with this setup without any issues. Then I ordered a 1:1 clone from fasttech and when I tried the same setup I had leaks all the time and more rarely dry hits. After a lot of trial and error I found out that the quantity of the cotton I was using was wrong. For an unspecified reason the same build that I was using in the originals was not working correct in the clone. My point is that usually the reason for this kind of issues is the cotton quantity. You might have to try a lot to find the correct amount.

Thanks for that, how do you find the drip tip adapter?
It works, can be a little loose, but hasn't been an issue for me. I am using the glass tip that came with it right now, but last week I used the adapter and a shorty 510 DT without a problem.

If you don't like the glass, and just want to use your own DTs all the time, I've seen other users make the DT adapter a permanent fixture by super gluing it down, haha.

I've just tried again with less cotton and same story, hits fine at first and then I can taste cotton, juice just isn't getting to the wick it seems like.

I dunno I think I've just had it with this now, so much juice and time wasted! will probably buy another subtank mini

You might be putting in too much juice. Try leaving some space on top of the juice so there is some air pressure on top. It helps to push down the juice. Or else try taking a few prime puffs while covering the air hole. That will force juice into the channel.
