subtank mini ohm rising and stop firing

I am using a subox mini... using 24awg kanthal wire, 5 rounds... it was 0.5ohm on the mod...
when i put it first in my rba and fire up, it glows red as per normal...
but however the second time, it would not fire up, i check the ohm it started to rise beyond 0.5 and keep rising until 1.3ohm... then my mod on the ohm meter it will blink and stop firing...

i have to wait for it to cool down before i can fire again...

what went wrong?

check your coil physically, could be loose contact or broken coil

probably something with the leads. check for shorts as well.

I tried making another new coil... still the same thing happen...

Anyway is 24awg okay? I simply just buy the smallest awg de...

theres a chance your subox mini unable to use 24awg? :x idk ah, just a possibility

You are not doing your coils well. The subtank is ridiculously easy to build. If you are getting inconsistent resistance readings, one or both of your posts are not tightening the leads well.

24awg is OK its also huge in my opinion probably just check the connection do a bend on the screw itself rather than straight out

oh ya another thing to check, your RBA pin (at the bottom of the rda connecting to the airflow section)whether its connecting proper with no liquid on the contacts (that could mess things up as well)

I got the same problem when i started out, your coil is probably touching the walls.
try trimming the ends more and it should not touch the walls

^ forgot to mention the possibility of shorting on the walls, usually shorting will cause a burst of light in the tank itself

okay so i tried to... actually i dont know what i hit... i realised it was a bit high... i push it down a little... and i am vaping okay now... still frequently getting the ohm reading blinking... so i guess my coiling sucks? hahaha

26 gauge works well for me. you got to clip off the ends to prevent it from shorting. and tighten down your screws on the post well.

for me i rather twist and turn till it snap off on its on. cliping off the end might not be perfect if u know what i mean

Please clip it off. Twisting and snapping can cause more problem than clipping them off, you can misalign coils through twisting and cause an open circuit. As long as you try to clip as close as possible all is good.
