About a week ago i decided to upgrade from my ego style batteries to a subtank mini and an istick 40w. The subtank mini worked great on the ride home from the store but within an hour started leaking out of the air control collar. I brought it back to the store and they replaced the o rings and hoped that would fix it. It didn't lol. So another trip back to the store and they gave me a new subtank mini. I get this one home and the same thing is happening. I was using the .5 ohm coils in both so i tried the 1.2 coil hoping that would fix it. It was still leaking. So i took it apart and washed it with water and let it dry overnight. I put it back together and it was fine for a day or so but then it started leaking again. I have been using 50/50 and 70/30 vg/pg e juices. I have also noticed a gurgling sound that is often accompanied by by hot ejuice spitting into my mouth. Since I have had two doing the same things I was hoping that there is something I am doing wrong as when this tank does work, I do really like it. I have been using the k1 that I had before just fine on the same istick so I don't think it is the battery. If anyone could give me some advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

That's the problem with Kanger. QC issues. Some coils without enough cotton and they flood, or too tight and you get dry hits.

That is the one and only reason why I started rebuilding the OCC heads.

If you want to try your hand at rebuilding the OCC heads YouTuber Rip Trippers has a stupid simple rebuild of the OCC heads on YouTube.

If you don't want to rebuild now or possibly evee take a look at the Aspire Nautilus Mini.

I would second the nautilus or even the aerotank. When I started the vendor sold me on an ego one (sub) and it almost put me off - same issues, spitting, gurgling and leaking - and using enormous amounts of juice. I now have a nautilus mini, a nautilus and an aerotank mini (no coil issues so far). They are really no fuss and give great flavour with an istick. I'll prob go back to try sub-ohm later as my beloved Black Flag Fallen works best with that.

I was debating between the nautilus mini and the subtank mini originally and chose the subtank. I haven't been vaping for very long so I was hoping to avoid rebuilding for now but if the likely culprit is the coil then it might be worth giving it a go. I'll check out rip trippers video. The closest vaping store to me is also an hour away so the trips I've made back and forth already about this tank is quickly turning it into a not very good deal lol. Is the nautilus a more solid tank for in the same price range? I read a lot of good reviews about the two of them

I have been using RTAs exclusively so I don't know the current prices but I have used both and the Nautilus Mini gives better flavor than the Subtank Mini.

The Nautilus Mini is a very good tank but the mark up at a B&M is bad. Ordering it online might be best unless your vape store will exchange the Subtank for the Nautilus

I have 2 subtanks and love them but my brother got one and was having leaking issues. They normally do leak just a little bit thru the airholes, but his was flooding and we would take it apart and check the O rings etc. The problem turned out to be that his top was not screwed down properly as every time he would refill it and then screw it back on to his mod he was loosening both the top and bottom and losing vacuum in the tank, so check that everything is tightened down and also check the O ring at the base of your atomizer. Also if you do a google search on leaky subtank you will find other fixes. don't give up just yet, it is a great tank once you get it figured out. I get 3 plus weeks off of my .5 ohm coils.

I've been hearing folks are having trouble with Subtanks from Kanger, But my current stock is 5 subtanks. 1 mini, 2 subtanks pluses and one V1. I'v never, ever had leaking problems with any of them. My guess is either their selling you bum coils are maybe an oring is upside down which allows air in...and wala...leaking.

I do use the V2 RDA section in my pluses and mini, but still no leaking if I have the proper amount of cotton. Granted, it took a while to get wicking right, but once I did...not a dry hit in the house!

If you like the Subtanks you should try the TFV4 tank, the coils are awesome I have the quad coils in now. Great flavor and huge clouds and single, dual and soon a Clapton RBA

I used to be someone who loved trying new tanks every time they came out, but right now, my wife and I are remodeling a home we purchased a couple months ago, and that is taking every cent we make. Besides, with 5 K. subtanks...I think I'm good for now, but thanks for the advice!!!!

I've had the same issue of my subtank mini leaking out the airholes after vaping for a day, with stock 1.2 ohms and the RBA also. I'm no novice at this, I've done testing and I don't have a seal or an oring leak, I think my style of vaping thinner 70pg/30vg at lower power (12W) spent work well with this tank, though I've heard of others vaping the thicker high vg juices have sometimes had leakage as well. I use nautilus mini's and they have not leaked ever. Nor have my Eleaf GS airs.

I get all of my vape gear online.

The Nautilus Mini definitely has better flavor of the two.

I love the subtank mini great tank hassle free.
My mates leaked so we changed the o-rings still leaking, checked the glass chipped to bits leaking sorted got a bell cap for it. Problem sorted now vaping like a champ.
Stay with the subtank just check your glass it's a great tank and very reliable.
The only problem with it is that the occ coils are hit and miss Iv had an occ that lasted me 16 days then Iv done a pack of five in 9 days so the best thing to do is hit the rba up. Not only Is it cheaper but the flavour is much much better.
The subtank mini restored my faith in kanger
