Hey, i hope you love your subtank mini coz i did! Maxed it out before i got my Zeph. What i used on my subtank mini was 28g 10 wraps 2.5mm diameter. I went for the high ohms 1.1-1.3. Coz i was using a kbox mini at the time and the batteries are fragile. So high ohms low wattage and higher voltage for me at the time.

When i got my ipv4s i started to take it to the next level, drilling the wick holes, making different coil setups, really going sub-ohm builds. One i could share with you is, u may go dual coil on this by coiling your coils instead of the usual horizontal coil setups i did parallel. Meaning the coils wicking pass is not aimed straight to the wick hole. Like this,

So u get more airflow, no hard draws, more clouds, more flavor. Its a little tricky to do. But worth the try if you would wanna get some crazy ideas.

I wish you all the best!
I never even thought of doing it this way. I'm dual coiling it this weekend. Thanks! I agree that the air flow should be much better this way as well.

You shouldn't have to shorten it. My understanding is they are interchangeable between the two tanks.
Well it came in the mail yesterday (v2 RBA head) had to increase the length of the sliding 510 pin by about a mm and install it backwards and shorten the chimney tube by about 3 mm as well as put a fatter o-ring on the base of the RBA. My 25 mm Subtank is the early one not the Plus.

I am using 28 ga Kanthal A1, 6 wraps on a 2.5 mm coil master. This comes out to around 1.3 ohms for me. Most of my liquid is 50/50, and I change the wick once per week, and do a new coil every other week. Works great for both my wife and myself. We love our sub tank minis. Great flavor, great vapor, and no leaks so far.

I loved my subtanks too! But trust me, do some adventuring... A bigger airstream is ALOT of a difference! :)

Well, I am still a mouth to lung vapor, so the bigger airstream is not as important to me. I have tried direct to lung, but just don't enjoy it that well. I am sure I will try it again, as I know a lot of people swear that is the best, but for now, I use the smallest air setting on the subtanks, and love them.

I assume you like to have high Nics? If ur mouth to lungin u should be using more nics or u dont feel anything. I tried that when i started to stop smoking but then at a time (to me) it got too strong although my craves were mere 12mgs... Then i was like you, poisoned, propagandaded and forumed, saying lung hitting is the ....z lol. I tried because mouth to lung to me is getting stronger i could not explain why. Some vets told me maybe its because i am not smoking carbon dioxide as much so i dont need or the body is not as immune to the high hits as i used to smoke before...

Then it came a time where i am very very curious. I am welder by day, freelance bartender by night. I know little about all this volts, amps, wattage and ohms fuss. Once i did some calculations and experiment with this and that, eureka! ....in clouds, all the time... And flavor too! And some mild hits with decent nics so i wont be missing any analogs...

But........ I have been wrong many times XD
Some folks i know here loves mouth to lungs and have been doing so for years, if they could for centuries... Its just the market nowadays dont serve 12mgs as much as they used to anymore...

Cheers man, have fun and just do whatever you like and dont let anyone make you think otherwise.. XD

I have been off the regular cigs for over 4 years now, but I do like the higher nic still. I have lots of damage in my back, and I find that with 18 mg nic, I don't take many pain killers, as nic is a wonderful analgesic. I like the Sub tank mini because the small air holes are great for mouth to lung, and I can experiment with direct lung if I want. I also love the RBA deck, as it I find it super easy to build on. I still remember rebuilding the old top coil vivi novas with the silica wick and 32 ga knathal. LOL.

I bought a subtank mini for my wife to get her off protanks and try to get her builds 1.6-1.8ohms. 6 wraps of 30 gauge spaced rayon coil on a bolt that fits the opening of a stock head. I can't believe how easy to have the RBA setup coiled, wicked, juiced and ready to go in 5 minutes.
My virgin rebuild was a top coil CE4 atty with silica, and still remember how amazing the vape was with a rebuild in it. I like my kayfuns but the smoke subtank mini did cause me to raise a eyebrow when I took some of the first hits off of it before I gave it to my wife..she is sumthin happy. :)
