I have tried many eliquids from different vendors but subzero is the only one thats worked best for me. But i have had an ongoing problem with it because i have yet to find a coil that will last me over 2 days. I started with halo g6, then the triton, then the volcano inferno, and now the aspire nautilus mini bvc. All with the same disappointing result. Each time i would either get a burnt taste or a horrible change in flavor/ throat hit. I thought a high end product like the aspire nautilus would solve this but no. i have already gone through 3 packs of 5 replacement bvcs, none of them lasted over 2 days. (ive taken apart the bad coil and it is black. no gunk tho and the wick is perfectly fine)

I want to know if anyone has experience with halo's subzero, what brand tank you used, and how long did your coils last.

so what it really sounds like.. is it is not the subzero killing aspire coils, but ALL COILS you try to use.

Do you vape anything else besides subzero? does that other juice kill the coil just as quick? Are you chain vaping? so that the coil is unable to cool off enough in between hits? How many ml? of juice do you go through per coil, before it goes "bad" on you?

Subzero is one of the cleanest of the halo juices I have used... and i used to keep the same triton tank/coil for 3-5 tanks before i even needed to clean it... even then.. the coil just needed a bit of a dry burn and rinse and could be used again.

So I am wondering... if there is not something about your method of vaping.. that is contributing to the problem.

thanks for your reply and im glad to hear that subzero is working well, it give me hope!

i have not tried any other liquids for over 10 drags because they either make my throat real itchy or taste bad. im not sure whats considered chain vaping but i take 3-5 sec drags with about 5 sec and repeat usually for 2-5 min, sometimes over 10min sessions but i do keep in mind not to over heat the coil and i will give it longer breaks if i feel its getting hot. I will go through around 3ml in the 2 days before it goes bad.

WHen i used the triton, for me it was horrible i purchased many replacement coils and they would last me 2 tanks max. the wick would be black fast and i remember pulling the wick to a clean spot to continue. The triton coils would start to give a burnt taste and vapor production would drop after about 3-4ml about 1-2days.

I really hope it is because of my vaping method and not the juice/coil, please share with me your methods and advice. thanks!

You are chain vaping.....

OK.. so to change your vape style......

Start to drag on the drip tip ( for a half a second to a second), and THEN hit the fire button, drag while holding the fire button for your 3-5 seconds, release the fire button but keep dragging till the air gets cool again ( about half a second to a second).

Hold this in your mouth, for 5 to 10 seconds, if you wish you can bring this to your lung or just leave it in your mouth the whole time, and then slowly exhale through your nose. Count to 10 Mississippi... and then repeat all over again.

----

Really it sounds like from your description, that you are "hitting" the vaping device like it was a cig. You must understand that it is not!!! The nic in vaping will be far more efficently absorbed through the wet parts of the mouth and nasal passage. Think of technique of vaping more like how one smokes a cigar... than how one smokes a cig.

The reason I am having you drag on the tip for a second before... is to prime the wicks, and to start airflow
The reason I am having you drag on the tip for a second after... is to cool the coil, prime the wick...and clear our condensation (condensation and extra hot coils, cause that burnt crud on a coil faster than anything else)

The rest of the steps are just to allow the "drag" to have a chance to be properly and efficently absorbed, in the belief that if you improve this you wont need to take as many "hits". And to also allow the coil to cool down.

Some additional reading..... The times he list are a bit shorter than mine... but I find better to go for longer times at first... as you are trying to retrain the muscle memory away from the smoking habit... to the vaping habit. Once you have "mastered" it with my time counts.. you will eventually settle into your own... from a place of comfort.. and not of fiending nic need
