It’s been over a year since my last cig. Working on the, “It’s almost a year with no nicotine,” and I just learned something in the last week, and what I learned is that I can do without vaping.

Let me explain. I just got back from my daughters. I took 3 Nicosticks and batteries galore. Two of the NicoSticks never got unpacked because while I was there, I didn’t vape that much. I finally change the battery in the one that I used the day I got home.

It was really weird because there was a couple of days that I just forgot all about it---didn’t vape at all.

Do I plan on quitting?
No.

Why?
Because I like to vape. It’s just a BIG realization that I don’t have that driven need to vape like I had when it came to having a cig when I smoked.

I feel totally great about this.:):):)
SO, newbies, if you are having troubles starting your vaping journey, stick with it because it’s worth it.
Ignore that advice if you have problems with allergic reactions.

Great news, JJ! :)

I also have no intentions of quitting vaping but as others have mentioned on the forums I think it would be easier to quit vaping than smoking.

So I gather while you don't intend to quit vaping you hope to be down to zero nic at some point?

Haven't gotten that far in my thinking but it's only been a month and a half for me and only 3 weeks with no cigs - a far cry from your 1 year+ (congrats!) but I never anticipated quitting smoking when I picked up a PV so maybe someday zero nic is something I too will be striving for.

Best of Luck and Interesting Post - Thanks!

One year is a huge accomplishment and I can understand what you're saying. I'm over 5 months now and there are times when I almost forget to grab my PV not wanting or needing as much nicotine as I used to. I'm using juice that has less than 10mg now (started with 24mg) and still enjoying vaping as much as I did on day one.

I have no intentions of quitting vaping, but I will continue to reduce my nic level as time goes by.

Congrats! :thumb:

jj2, I agree that it gets easier to go witout a vape as time goes on! I went to the mall with my daughter and didn't vape all day, not even at lunch. I didn't even realize it until we got back in the car! That's when I discovered I had forgotten to put the E-cigs in my purse before going in the mall.
Let me tell you a year ago I would have NEVER forgotten my cig case, let alone go for more then an hour with a smoke.8-o

I vape 11mg during the day and cut back to 8mg or 0nic at night while mindlessly vaping at the computer. For me it's mostly hand to mouth.

I also think that quiting vapeing will be a lot easer then stopping anologs. I started vapeing doing the same actions that I did when smoking. I always went outside to smoke, so I continued doing that for 3 weeks. I now dont go outside so I have broken that habit. Next is to stop vapeing, but I like vapeing much more then anologs. So it will take me time to quit vapeing. Im not in a hurry. Just ordered 500ml of unflavored juice. If I quit before Im done with it I will put it on ECF for free.

Yanks, I've been nicotine free since last June.
I sort of rushed getting off of it but had health reasons for doing so.
In most cases, I believe, slowly would probably be better.
