After spending all day yesterday reading and looking at more videos, then all night last night building 6 different coils ( the macro, the micro, singles, duals, stacked) about 3 hours of work and nothing worked either at all or just not well enough.
This morning I made a twisted coil. I took 3, 8 inch pieces of the 32g kanthal and following rip tripper's video, I did it. 7 wraps around a carpet needle, everything snug and tight, not touching anything it's not supposed to, fluffy cotton not too tight, not too loose. 1.1 ohms, I can vape it like a train and it doesn't get close to hot.
The wires actually broke in half but they were just long enough for me to make 2 coils.
That being said, I am almost out of the 32g, should I buy more 32 and continue to twist it or go to 28g?
Thanks everyone for all the advice and encouragement. I was <-----> close to saying screw it and just keep buying new ones.

I'd go to 28 but keeping different sizes gives you the ability to really try all kinds of builds. I really like 28 though cuz' it works every time and is consistent. I never get weird readings when I use it. I've never tried twisting my 32 wire, it seems like too much trouble to me but to each their own. Have fun and vape on!

IMO---- If your shooting for 1.0 to 1.4OHMs 28g is really all you need...If I want to do .9 to .5 builds or lower, just twist the 28 or run duals. However,Kenthal is sooooooo cheap in any size that is really hard not to experiment with different ones just to say you did. Just BE SURE you have the right gear to support the build!! Vape Safe!

I had a relapse last night and built two failures before scoring on the third. I was watching tv and just being sloppy.

I find building the coils isn't my problem so much as attaching them to the posts. When you have post holes, it's easy. Whenever I have to wrap the coil around the post screws, I tend to screw up my coil.
