Happy new year all.

Don't know if this has been tried before or not. I have successfully removed the filling from a cartomizer and replaced it. It produces more vapor and T/H.
No leaking, no juice in mouth etc. Down side(until it's refined) less drops of liquid.
In the testing stage now, more to follow.

I would like to know the process. Were you able to keep the heavy wrap around the atomizer and how did you get the small inslulating fiberglass positioned correctly?

Yes that pictures is rather funny thanks for the laugh.

Just used the tea bag method. Pulled out the stuffing with a needle and some finger nail scissors, the heavy wrap remained intact. Not sure what u mean by the fiberglass piece? Rolled up the teabag placed in cart around center piece, cut to fit and all is well. Actually only used half of a tea bag probably why I could only get 12 drops in. But with right amount of material should be able to hold same as regular filling.
Just thought I would try it in case I ever need a back up cart.
Has worked all evening, going to test it all day tomorrow to see what happens.
And I find the vapor is much stronger, actually caught a little buzz.

Well perhaps this will inspire Leaford into experimenting with different fillers for the cartomizers in china because no way in hell am I messing with it myself at home. I just love the convenience factor of cartomizers too much and doing this would take alot away from that.

I'm lost... How can the filling affect vapor production and TH? I thought those 2 are a result of the atomizer filament and the wicking material inside the cartomizer?

It would seem reasonable to me that if you changed out the fill for something that keeps less "tension" (for lack of a better word) on the liquid, it would allow it to flow through to the center atomizer quicker. Then the question becomes... will it leak? Leaking was one of the reasons I went to cartos.

Leaking was one of the reasons I switched also. All last night tea bag carto worked fine, no juice in mouth, no leaking. T/h seemed stronger to me because I used 555 instead of my usual RY4. How ever vapor production was way stronger, probably because of more air action throughout carto.
Now the bad news, took carto to work filled it up with 11 drops 555, too much. Juice in mouth=gross. Will experiment some more, still think it will work.
