I have had this tank for awhile and never had a problem with it. But now it seems I get a burning taste even when using a new head. I went ahead and ordered one of those aerotank bases for it to see if that would help. Im just confused on why it happened and if there is anything I can do to fix it.

Burnt hits come from lack of juice on the coil. So let's work back from there. Are the ends of the wicks sufficiently exposed Has the grommet been pushed down too far and as a result choking the wicks? Have you recently changed to a thicker juice (increased the VG content)? Are your draws now more airy than they have been in the past? An airy draw indicates less vacuum in the PT which will result in less juice being pulled into the wick/coil. Have you increased voltage/wattage recently? Have you added or removed any flavor wicks?

I have put the Aerotank base on all 4 of my PT II tanks. A real improvement. These bases have made my PT II a go to topper again.
