I use a 50/50 pg vg juice. I noticed from last 3 days the hit has increased several folds. Like all vg is finished and now it's 100% pg. Its not just me. When my friend tried it yesterday, he also said same that it's has got a mad hit.

Can't get why is suddenly started to happen.

What is throat hit exactly? Is it the burning irritation you get when you inhale/exhale?

It's worse than a hard cigarette..

Hi

PG and VG don't mix very well, that is why you shake the bottle before putting it in a tank. If you look at a bottle you haven't touched for awhile, you can see distinct bands where the liquids have separated. It's most noticeable in liquids that have a high VG ratio.

Shaking the bottle of liquid before filling the tank seems logical, but the components can also separate in the tank. Sometimes you need to shake the tank too.

Based on my, admitted flawed, experiments, I theorize you are using a bottom coil device and have half or less left in the tank. You haven't shaken the tank or treated it roughly, so you have vaped away more of one component than the others. I said bottom coil, because I think in order of weight vg is the heaviest, pg in the middle and nicotine the lightest. Therefore, if the liquid has separated, it might be possible to vape a good portion of the vg first, leaving you with more pg and nicotine which can cause a burning sensation.

I think my theory is worth pondering, even if I did write it out with crayons.

ETA: Okay, a top coil doesn't fit my theory in this case. So, never mind. :)

Did you just start vaping? Could it be that the coil is getting dirty and needs to be changed or cleaned? It could also be that not enough liquid is getting to the coil and your experiencing dry hits, which can be very harsh. Can you give some info about what device(s) your vaping with, might help to figure things out.

Yes I just started. It was my second refill of juice. I generally put 1.2 ml in the tank. I am using a CE4 clearomiser. I keep tilting the tank and rotating so the wicks are drenched.

Sometimes this happens to me when my coil is old and develops a 'hot spot'. I'll start getting harsh hits, take apart my Kayfun and when I dry burn the coil, it is clear that there is a hot spot (one portion of the coil heats up faster and brighter than the rest of the coil). I don't know why this sometimes happens, but when it does there is no fixing it, I just have to make a new coil. Now, that is with a rebuildable, but there's no reason a factory coil couldn't experience the same sort of thing. I don't know if that is your issue, but I thought I'd throw it out as a possibility.

just read your last post. I would just change the coil and refill. See if that fixes the problem. You can throw the previous coil in a cup of water to soak if you don't want to waste it. Might be you can clean it and use it later.

Its kind of ....ty. But I keep rotating and tilting the liquid. I think it has something to do with coils..
I guess it is a silica wick. As the material does not seem cotton.

I'm also in the coil camp as others have said above. Look into "dry burning" your coil, there's a ton of info here and elsewhere. Basically, what you need to do is burn off all the gunk that has accumulated on the coil. If you have silica wick, which I'm sure you do, it will also clean that up.

I always know it's time to dry burn when things start getting harsh.

Pretty sure OP is using a stock coil, so surely silica.
I want to change the wick. But no idea as the coil is in middle of a pipe. (see CE4 clearomizer)

I did some steps.
A) drained liquid with a syringe and a needle.
B) opened the tank. Drained the wicks dry with paper towel. And then pressed the button till coil got red. Kept blowing on it.
C) cleaned all juice and then re assembled. Put some juice on wicks only. And tried vaping.. It worked. Even vapor was much better.

So what was causing this? Also I had done these steps some time back too when I thought vapour was coming too low.

Most CE4's aren't designed to take apart,so it's a bit difficult to clean/rebuild them. If you like how they work you could get CE5's, they have replaceable coil heads which can be cleaned and rebuilt much easier, or something else which has replaceable heads, there are many to choose from. Hopefully some others can give you some suggestions as I'm not really up on what's all on the market at present.
