I've been eyeing several flavors on BCF that have a warning that there is sugar syrup in them. I am not a diabetic, but I am wondering if there are other known risks involved in vaping sugar, such as congestion in the lungs or somesuch. I think I would prefer the taste of sugar to that of the sucralose that is often used in flavorings.

Thanks in advance for your thoughtful replies!

Since most of us wouldn't even try sugar in our vape, It's a bit hard to say what the lung issues would be. Although I could see they might not be good just from what it can do to a coil!

I personally do not believe a flavoring with sugar is ment for vaping!

Find a flavoring that doesn't contain sugar. Stevia is what I use (can't stand it in my coffee or tea, but in a vape, I think it's great!).

Since sugar (C12H22O11) contains 12 parts carbon, it's not surprising that it would crust up a coil. ;)

I've vaped my fair share of FW Yellow Cake, Fruity Flakes, etc. and haven't had any ill effects, but these lungs of mine are hardened after enduring 30+ years of smoking. The 2 issues I've had with FW's sugar syrup flavors are that they're hard on coils, and their shelf life sucks. They tend to thicken and turn syrupy after a few months, especially the Yellow Cake.

Well, I guess it's possible then. I just Googled it, and I see that sugar carmelizes around 340 F. I guess you might be OK with the coils below that, but a pretty low temperature.

I'll go with what the other guys said, and just avoid it altogether.

I don't mix my own flavorings or I would try stevia. Any flavors that come premixed with stevia?
