^^^ thank you ^^^ that's what i thought. i guess i have to order the standard provari with extension cap so i can try those panasonics!
I'm glad to hear people are liking the Panasonic's so much!
I figured they'd be similar to the AW IMRs, but wasn't 100% positive. And I am personally a die-hard fan of the AW IMRs having used them for years, although I wouldn't hesitate with the Panasonic batteries either. But as far as everything else does...they are, well, just not as good![]()
i just started vaping several months ago and i've only used the AW IMRs. however, i'm going to be able to buy the Panasonics for around 1/3 the price through a co-op. i'll be paying a bit over $40 for 10 batteries. i'm willing to sacrifice a bit of quality for the price difference....![]()
I believe AW uses Panasonic cells, or both use the same cells from another maker. Does the co-op have 18490/18500 batteries or 18650s only? If so where can I jump in?!?! I havent seen the Panasonics 18500s yet and I've been waiting on themHopefully they are in the works
And just FYI, they are slightly longer than the AW's. I needed to pull out my spring in order to get the AW's to fire after using these. I purchased five of them so now I have $40 worth of batteries sitting OUT of rotation. I guess they'll come in handy if I run out of everything else (highly unlikely). If so though, I'll be smart enough to order a couple of replacement springs.
Knowledge is good. The only remaining question is whether or not it's worth $40.
Livin', learnin', never enough lovin'.
Not for nothing but one run time chart just doesn't do anybody justice, there's more behind a batt then just one run chart from a manufacturer, re-seller, usually users run time charts are more honest. I suggest you try the Panasonic for yourself and test it VS your other IMR's or whichever other batt your using. Depending on what ohm Resistor ( Atty ) your using and at what Voltage your running your going to get some different results in the Batts from other users. I will say that Panasonic actually builds powercells, not just Re-Wraps a power cell with a wrapper and adds a different name to it, they actually manufacture these power cells and are a high quality manufacture and leader of manufacturing power cells, Where other named Batt's aren't manufactured by that company just Re-branded basically. Keep in mind as well these newer hybrids also bring an extra safety feature by adding nickel to the cathode on these cells, another pretty big factor with Panasonic is they not so long ago invested 30 Million with Tesla which is a pretty good company to be collaborating with and I think there is more to come and your going to see an even better battery by Panasonic in the not to far future.
I think you may see AW doing something like this CGR18650CH soon too,,, AW puts out some very good power cells, but my money would be on Panasonic to stay as a leader in Batt technology over AW, either way both are good batts your not gonna get hurt buying either one to run in an ecig. I've been using AW's for a pretty long time in flashlights and ecigs and also running the Panasonic CGR18650CH since close to it's release, I give the Panasonic a bit of the edge when it comes to the 18650 hybrid vs the AW IMR series of power cells, and for the price you can get the CGR18650CH for in the CoOp it's a total no brainer to just buy them. Also with all the information that has been delivered on these CGR18650ch's so far, testing and all the people using the CGR18650CH's, I haven't heard of one not one bad report since release which leads me to believe, along with the performance there providing for me, well, BUY THEM
@ NickZac
The Panasonic CGR18650CH is NOT the same power cell as the AW IMR,, however the 3100 series may be![]()
18650s are the only ones in the current co-op. you may have time to sneak in if people drop out. here's the link: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-top-nipple-top-safe-chemistry-cells-106.html
@ NickZac,
What you should do is take a look at the Panasonic website, and see if you can match AW Battery specs for certain size Batts, chemistry, and specs in General, for example the 3100 series which are the same Batt in my opinion,,,, especially look for 16340, R123, 18350,18490 and see if you see Panasonic matches to AW Specific Batts ? here = Rechargeable Lithium Ion OEM Batteries - Panasonic
This tells me my answer for certain Batts and not for others when I compare AW to Panasonic specs,,,,, I don't believe everything I read that people post, some are idiotic, some are good, investigating to find my own answers to questions nets me the best answers usually over reading post, not being wise or a smart-... here just honest.
AW batteries are, without question, the best lithium flashlight batteries in the world. They assembled in China, but the actual cells are top tier cells from Panasonic in Japan. AW batteries are specifically intended for high performance applications.
