Suggestion: Create your own Sampler

Would it be possible for you guys to create a shopping cart item that lets us create our own Sampler? If drop-down menus would be too much, perhaps just using the comments field to specify the 5 flavors/strengths we want?

You have so much to choose from, and get new stuff all the time, I think this would be a great way to let us try 5 flavors at a time, and different strengths so we can fine tune our likes and preferences.

What do you think, fellow V4L'ers? Is this something you would use?

They suggested this before but the time it would take to break apart packages and rebox them is more trouble then what its worth. They dont normally stock empty carts to repackage them again(other then the freebies, but those are just thrown in).

As cool as this would be, they would have to hire more people to cater for people that want custom samplers and I dont think thats something they would want to invest in atm.

It's not an assumption. This question comes up every couple of weeks.

Not that there's a problem with asking, folks are just repeating the answers that have come from Steve & Mark.

I vote no, leave things the way they are. All these bells and whistles that some of you think are "great ideas" are simply things that will eventually cost us more money in the end. I like the prices and product the way it is.

Secondly, this is another one of those examples of reading the subforum, and you'll find your answer.

We just recently started getting sampler paks of any kind, I think they'll be adding more (I know there was talk of a fruit sampler that I don't think we have yet, don't remember what other paks were discussed). It's even been suggested that there be a mega sampler, that has one of every flavor offered. They'd have to build a special box for that one!

They are also kicking around the idea of the same flavor in different strengths. But yes, having everyone pick and choose the flavors they want adds a lot of time, manpower and effort to each order.
Mark and Steve have said they are not staffed for that right now.

Found the thread I was thinking of (going advanced and limiting it to posts by Smilin was still a large result!! ) and bumped it up.

What has been said is correct. We receive cartomizers in 5 packs, with the amount of orders we process every day, there would be no way to have time to break up five packs for every sampler ordered. We are looking to add more samplers, but I doubt we'll ever have it a la carte, so you can create your own sampler pack, but I've been wrong before.

The big problem with this (and, alternately why other suppliers can do it) is that V4L now has 87 flavors including VG flavors. That's an inventory nightmare on it's own, now imagine that some of those 5 packs were opened and have to be manually counted as well... I have a feeling that the reason a lot of us get similar freebies (remember the rum and cola that swept through our orders?) is that they set aside X number of boxes to parse out as freebies.

I don't know if it's even possible at this stage in the game...
