Looking for a nice mech mod that I can get shipped from the US. Right now im between the Natural or a MKB TS. The MKB TS looks sweet but im sorta put off by needing an adaptor as well as the issues with the spring. Any suggestions? Will mostly be using it with an AGA T, RSST, or AGR. If its on the cheaper end I may pick up a Phiniac. Would prefer something that will work with both an 18350 and 18650 with a holocron shortstop.

Thanks!

I'd go with the Natural. It's a nice looking device, much more inexpensive than the MKB and looks awesome with a RSST. You can sand the contacts to expose the brass for better conductivity.

The Legacy by Puresmoker is a well regarded device, under $100, made in USA and good customer service. It has an option for a flat top that will also look good with a genesis.

If you’re looking for something that will perform well right out of the box, +1 on the recommendation for the Legacy. The only issue you’ll have is your need to use it with both 18650 and 18350 size batts. You can do that, but you’ll need two tubes.

The standard tube will work with the 18650 (and the shortstop); you’ll need a mini tube is for the 18350. You can also get an extension that will allow for an 18490 in the mini, or an 18350 plus a Kick. Or, can use the extension on the standard tube for an 18650 plus Kick.

The tops (which come both in bevel and flat) and bottom switches are interchangeable between tubes so you can mix and match. The flat top would look best with the RBAs you listed.

The Natural, MKB and other similar devices (such as the iSeason or any of the many, many Sigelei mechanicals) can work well provided that you’re willing to do a little modifications. I have an iSeason and really like it once I replaced the spring. My Legacy worked (and continues to work) great without any modifications.

I'm intrigued by the legacy, but I really want something flat top that will work with 18350s, so it would still be priced pretty similarly to the MKB, if not a bit more. How is the build quality compared to the MKB? I don't mind doing some sanding/trips to the hardware store for a brass spring really, but the legacy looks nice and I like that its unique and not a clone.

Legacy Mini, buy the flat top if you must. With the MKB-TS...don't you have to buy a couple of adapters to use anything with a normal 510 on it?

One MKB-TS owner here who's now taking a second look at The Legacy MODs. I may have chosen differently if I knew there was a flat top for the Legacy available. The Legacy devices, at there current retail price, make the MKB look overpriced.

My MKB needed significant modding to work as it should. The only support base available has been ECF. The US venders selling the MKB can only support up to the point the manufacturer stands behind the product. There are at least two versions of the MKB out there now. The second version comes with a gold plated spring. The first version has a floating center pin and the second one does not. So you run the risk of not knowing what you'll get if you order one. In my experience an adjustable center pin is %100 necessary because all the atty's out there differ.

As far as I know the MKB's in-stock at US venders right now are the first version. Get 'em while you can but know you will have to fix some stuff. I would not get the second version despite it's improved switch, due to the fixed center pin in the 510 connection. Rainbow Heaven doesn't seem to know EXACTLY what they are trying to accomplish.

The Legacy devices are US design, build, and support. So if you ever need anything for your legacy, YOU WILL BE CARED FOR. It's one of the only US mods that has a strong following in Europe. Cloud 9 sells them alongside GG's. If that crowd accepts them, they must be quality. The creators of The Legacy are members of the ECF and can be reached here.

Considering all the CO-OP activity around the MKB, I would guess it's current retail price won't hold much longer. I've lost some good money buying e-cig gear too hastily. Everything is getting better as time passes, so there is no harm in waiting until your %100 sure you want something.

MKB seems to look to be more trouble than it is worth. I understand some people love to mod their mods, and kudos and thanks for that, it helps us all. But looks like some guys may be into it for the cost of an actual GG almost when all is said and done. :)

If you're going budget, check out the Beautiful Drawtube, doesn't get much love, but it SHOULD, it's a great cheapie. Matches 22mm RBA's perfectly.

Legacy is cool.

If you're not in a rush, maybe save a bit more and look at Poldiac, Nemesis, Roller/Dingo, assuming they are in stock. You will have them shipped and to your door from Greece in probably the same amount of time it takes a USA shipper to get it to you. I ordered my Roller on Wednesday and it was here to me in Los Angeles on Friday!

Think I'm going to compromise - was gonna get a MKB and a terminator, gonna go with a mini legacy and the terminator. As sweet as the MKB ts looks, I know I'd still want a legit one some day, so may as well get the legacy for now and the legit import gg down the line. Figure if I'm going to drop 100$ on a mod I want something functional and supported, even of the MKB has a lot of potential. Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Now for the hype, any pics of people's legacy? Pref with an AGR, RSST, AGA T, or Terminator, which will be what I rock on it.

I would have chosen the same setup. The Legacy is very nice and you might find you'll need nothing else.
