Good idea, sonic :) I didn't think of that. Works well since you can see if there are new posts in the Advocates forum at a glance.

Here's how it will show in Subscriptions:

The little bubble next to "Advocates Updates" will be highlighted if there are new posts (so on my current skin, the blackened red one, it shows white for no new and red for new posts. Colors will vary based on your forum skin)

Sonic meant subscribing to the FDA Regulations forum, of which the Advocates forum is a sub :) In BB terms, the FDA forum is the "parent" and the Advocates forum is a "child" since it is within that forum.

That's what I pictured in my post above (the FDA Reg forum as it shows in the User CP when you've subscribed). Doing that still gives a visual cue as to whether there are new posts in Advocates and is a good useable workaround

As someone new to the forums. I would love to have it all in one place.

The idea of the Advocates sub forum with restricted posting privileges was aimed at doing just that....:)

It's a way for the people that are meeting directly with the legislators, doing the scientific studies, following the bureaucrats constantly, a place to post results and areas where action may be needed (write your congressman!!...etc). The posts in the Advocates sub forum are simply for information to be passed along, the discussions are still going hot and heavy in the rest of the FDA sub forum....
