Go ahead and start a new thread for that. Retired can merge it with something in the morning if he wants to reorganize.
Currently it seems the only way to see which specific post was "liked" is to click on the Alert.
Is there anything that can be done to show a small part of the "liked' post so you don't have to click on the Alert?

Hover the mouse over the Alert link instead of clicking it. Then you can decide if you want to click to go there. :)

I tried double clicking on the 'ecf'' symbol for a forum to see if it would go gray as in 'mark that forum read'. That doesn't work.... didn't see any other way to mark a specific forum as 'read' although I see the one at the top right for the whole forum.
Yeah... I miss that feature :( However, if while in a forum you click that Mark Forums Read link, it will give you a choice of that forum, or all forums. :)

Nothing happens when I hover over it...

Maybe it's a Google Chrome thing?
What is supposed to happen?

Yes, I do see that, but the problem is I have no idea what post it was that got the "like" in that thread.
The old software used to show you a bit of the post when showing you the like.

Right now I know people are liking some of my posts...
But I have no idea which ones.

Thanks. Didn't know that. That worked but the reason I used the double click on the old forum was so I didn't have to visit it to clear it :D

Another 'inconvenience' is the sub forums not showing - except on drop down but without the info needed - last post, a bit of a blurb, etc. I can see using the 'watched threads' function to compensate, but then that basically blocks you out of the rest of the forum - where you might see something in another "unwatched" forum. Oh well.

I guess this is off-topic. Perhaps I should start a few more threads that don't relate to the other one for 'issues'

I posted there, I guess will have to wait for other styles there and it got deleted as 'off-topic'. I should have worded it correctly  I guess you have to have a real issue rather than diplomatically stating the obvious

Ah, yes, go to the Likes You've Received page to see that (link is under your name at top right).

Right there with you on that one!

One positive feature (that I suggested in 2010 for the other software...lol) is the link at the bottom of the page to (on this one) "Site Feedback and Help". That will be used by me a lot!
Thanks for pointing that out!
I was using the "Top" link to get back to the top.
