Suggestions and ideas?

Alright, I'm new to this whole vaping thing, haven't quite received mine just yet. I ordered a Blu Cig because that was the one that seemed most talked about and, until I found these forums, I found the most attractive.

I'm looking for suggestions or ideas to point me in the right direction, I'm still smoking analogs for the time being and I'm not quite ready to jump into something that looks like I'm hitting out of a mini-...., lol. However, I'm apparently going to need good vapor production for the simulation of an actual cigarette, but I'd prefer something that I can take out of the box and and use.

I still haven't quite figured out all the mods and there's no better teacher than hands on use, but for the time being I'd like something I wouldn't have to fiddle with too much, but still have a pleasant first time vaping experience.

Any suggestions? I've been thinking of the JOYE 510, seems to be getting good reviews, but I'm not quite sure where a good, reputable dealer would be to get it, though.

Thank you for any comments or suggestions!!

The Joye 510 from Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. is a great choice for flavor and throat hit and is only 35 bucks from them with excellent customer service and super fast shipping. They also have some good Liquids and a new Basic Liquid as well just put out.

Where are you Scotty?

510's are great, but DO require some "fiddling". There is also a bit more of a learning curve.

KR8's are 2-piece units, with the atomizer and cartridge combined into one "semi-disposable" unit. You just charge the battery, screw on a cartomizer, and vape.

Where would be a good site for checking one of those out?

I bought my son the Ultimate Ultimatum kit from V4L (there is a video on that page that briefly shows it's use). He loves it, and I can vouch for their product quality and customer service. Other highly recommended vendors (that I can think of off the top of my head) are NHaler and Good Prophets. Any of the ECF Approved Suppliers should be safe to order from.

Your Blu may be all you need, if you were a very light smoker, and are willing to learn how to use it effectively. It has a very small liquid reservoir in the cartridge, but I've read the atomizer is perfect for "dipping".

If cost isn't a primary concern, why not try both? You can get a good 510 starter kit from Cignot.com for around $35 plus $5 shipping. It will out-perform your Blu, and likely the KR8 as well. Only problem is that it doesn't meet the "no fiddling" criteria. if you learn to drip it's not that much fiddling (this by-passes the need to re-fill cartridges).

Click on my sig for a brief guide to dripping.

Well, cost is definitely a factor. I'm a waiter and college student, so my income is less than I'd prefer it to be obviously, lol. Another attractive feature of the whole e-cig thing is the ability to save money. Dripping I've read about and think I get the basic concept, however, how about being out a lot? I don't usually spend a lot of time at home during the week, dripping doesn't seem very effective for on the go vaping, or am I wrong?

Another good place to get the KR808d-1 is from cigeasy.com. They have a stater kit for $40 with a free 10ml bottle of fluid. A very good deal IMO.(Two batts, Five cartos, Charger, And 10ml of your choice of flavor)
Also madvapes.com has disposable 510 sets that last a long time and are a very economical way to go if you want to try that rout.

510 + dripping is probably the cheaper of the two options, then. A 3mL bottle of juice is pretty tiny, and about all you would need for the day. I don't have any problems dripping when I'm out and about, but I absolutely do NOT recommend dripping and driving (ahem, ;);)).

Haha, well I'll have to wait to get one in and see how it goes. If this Blu takes any longer than Wednesday to arrive I'm going to cancel it and try the KR8, test that one out for a couple weeks and probably pick up a 501 next paycheck.

No dripping and driving!? Then I just wouldn't fit in with all the other California drivers of doing everything but driving while driving!

Might just be a good idea for me to find a couple different models anyway besides just experimenting. One for being out and about and one for hanging around the house.

That would be a good idea. i started out with the KR8, and now i have the 901 and the 510 disposable. The 510 is great for when i have the time to refill, and the 901 is great for when i am driving. (the 901 atty fits on the KR8 batts so i did not have to by more :) )

I didn't think of that one, but that's a great idea. Instead of buying an entire kit, just get a 901 atomizer to see if you like it. It's similar to a 510, except it doesn't get as hot as quickly. Many people prefer it over the 510, but it takes a little getting used to. When you get the hang of it, it's a vape-producing monster that rivals the 510. If you learn to direct inhale with the 901, it will produce an amazing amount of vapor.

You could also buy a KR8 battery to 510 atomizer "adapter", so you can try either one.

I just realized that my "keep it simple" strategy for answering your question is starting to break down... :D
