So while I'm waiting for some wick to hopefully get my sapphires wicking well, I pulled out the CE2's. I vaped for 3 hours with these things hitting like a cannon the entire time. Yea they can be a pain to fill because you need a syringe, but they just work. my biggest issue is the metal ones are very difficult to clean.

So why not take the clear ones that can be cleaned and fix the minor issues. tubes with the same plastic as the sapphire should be pretty easy. redesign the base so the tubes can't pop off, and then slightly redesign the rubber cup on top so it is easier to get back in. simple hassle free device. if these are leaking for people, I can't understand how, the metal ones don't leak, the plastic ones do leak if you bang them around or the tubes crack, hence we fix that issue.

The ce2 factory and the sapphire factory in not the same. Competitors you could say. Don't see them working together to get the plastic we need on a ce2. LOL
The CE2 has indeed been tweaked some 25 time to get to the place the new one is at now.
One of the reasons the sapphire rocks it's a first production and I can not see how 25 remolds would be in it's future.
A wick issue or two for it yes but sapphire revision 2 is way better the CE2 revision 25 when more work still need done. IMO

metal ce2s have never failed me...

They have made the new CE3 already http://www.royalsmokers.com/CE3.html

Seems it is bottom fed like the sapphire. It also uses what looks like the same plastic.

ce3 bottom wick, ce2 top wick???? what's the relation in posting the link?
wile you may like the ce3 I would not go to that link to get them...

K got it now I see. Is it the center tube for air or a side slit for flow?

Royalsmokers and MicroCig are manufacturers that sell to distributors only. The minimum you can order is 100 pieces. They seem to be the ones that designed the CE2. So yea I wouldn't try to order them, but the CE3 seems to be out there.

I like my CE2s (a lot) when they're not leaking, but I'm far more interested in seeing what other manufacturers have in store than MiT/Royal Smokers. They've had a lot of time to get them right, but when others can release products like the Sapphire and the Vision and have a working product right off the bat, it makes you question MiT's competency level.

The CE3 will have a tough act to follow with the Sapphire. It remains to be seen whether MiT has what it takes to compete, IMO.

K but the sapphire is an atty and the ce3 a wicking cup so the 2 manufacturers went different directions?
I do love my top cup ce2s for heat/TH. and an atty for flavor. I tried the vortex and did not like them. looks to me the vortex was a ce3 prototype?

the plastic dose look smiler, but we don't know the recipe. I would be willing to try one in purple I suppose, in time..
IMO though cups should always be kept on the top shelf....

yes well i might be wrong here but i thought that the company making the vision also makes a normal size ce2 type and chris was looking into getting those instead of the current mfg. Since he has more then one mfg now i'm sure there are more options in the works we haven't even heard about yet. heh i'll bet he already has several on his desk for testing already...

I don't know why they would stray from the awesomeness that is a CE2. All that needed to change was what the tube is made out of. The CE3 just seems like a harder to fill Sapphire lol.

ya, as I said, stronger tube, bottom more like sapphire so the tube doesnt come off in your pocket, and a redesighed rubber top piece where you can just drop it on top of the coil and slide the tube on. that would be ultimate.
