Sorry for the book but here goes...
I quit smoking 2 months ago using an aegis boost and .6 coils. The flavor and draw is perfect but i cannot deal with the leaky pods. I have even found juice in my charge port....that cannot be safe.
I have since bought an aegis solo with 2 zenith pro tanks along with the 1.0 coils. The flavor is muted compared to the boost and the draw just isnt right.i have tried adjusted the airflow every way possible i am just not satisfied with it at all....which led me to go to my local vape shop..
He recommended the freemax luke 3 ( after i told him i vaped mtl) i HATE that thing.it is like sticking my mouth to the tailpipe of a car. The flavor is great though. Too bad i almost choke to death trying to use it.
Can anybody direct me to something with the flavor and similar draw to my leaky little boost that i love?
It is probably helpful to add that to not smoke it seems i have to constantly change flavors all day. I rotate between 5 pods on my boost and 2 protanks on my solo. TIA!

Z-Coils for the Zeniths and the Zlides come in 0.48ohm, 0.8ohm, 1.0ohm, 1.2ohm, and 1.6ohm.

@goinpostal - I don't have a Zenith Pro MTL Tank, but I just googled and found that the new 1.0ohm and fairly new 1.2ohm coils were developed for that tank apparently. Any of them will work in the Pro though. If I were you, to get better flavor...I'd try either the 1.2ohm or 1.6ohm coil.

By the way, there is a small part called a "drip tip adapter" that you should be able to put on that Freemax sub-ohm tank the vape shop sold you...so you can use a 510 MTL drip tip on it instead. It wouldn't make you feel like you're sucking on a tailpipe then.

Or...you could take that tank back and get 1 instead that was made for vaping like you prefer to, and uses a 510 drip tip instead of the 810 tailpipe one! IMO, he just sold you that 1 to make more money off the sale.

I haven't tried them but many people like the 1.6 ohm for MTL. You mentioned airflow but didn't specify... do you like loose or tight draw? Personally, I like loose (but I also like restricted DL) but many people like tight draw. You might also try different wattage settings. What juice are you using (here comes the 20 questions but that way we can help you better) specifically, what is the VG/PG ratio? I wouldn't give up on the Zenith.
I have a couple small pods that I use for carry around and they can have issues with temperature (a hot car or even your pocket) If you fill the pod (don't fill all the way... leave some airspace) and then it gets warmer, it may leak (just happened to me yesterday and the pod does not usually leak) BTW, vape shops tend to recommend stuff that is overkill... DL cloud chuckers and not understand the transition from smoking (at least at first... maybe later you can try stuff like that)

Are you sure you got the coil in right (has to be lined up with the flat areas) How did it leak so much to get juice in the charge port? Doesn't that have a cover on it? Not giving you are hard time... just trying to help.
Hey, this video is for the newer Boost Plus... he mentions something about filling it (compared to the original that you have) Go to 6:00 in the video (6 minutes in)

I tried that coil. TONS of vape production, surprisingly much so. The flavor died after about a week and normally I get months out of a coil. I was not happy. Definitely the coil; I did not add a drop of juice but put a 1.6 coil back in and the juice tasted surprisingly normal.

IDK if I am the only one that happened to but I am more than happy with my 1.6 coils I feel they have the best kind of, uh widest flavor profile you taste ALL the flavors in your juice. The 0.8 are okay but they seem kinda more "blunt" like you get less juicy juiciness but heck IDK everyone gotta figure out what works on their own.

The only other MTL mesh drop in I know of, the Nautilus 0.7 mesh coil BLOWS them out of the water, in my opinion. But you know someone had to go first.

Very puffy, but I actually don't really NEED that much vapor production.

I think i lean more towards a loose draw but not loose like that jet engine exhaust thing the vape shop sold me. The perfect draw i have found was the boost .6 coil and airflow open exactly halfway. I guess i could deal with the draw on the zenith pro if the flavor was there ( i use the airflow on the zenith with 2 little holes then the rest the big wide open holes. )
My juice ratio is 70pg 30 vg but i think i need to mess around with that some because it makes my nose runny. All little issues compared to finally being off smoking 100 percent. I still reach for my leaky boost first when i get the urge to go outside and smoke. I guess i just need to throw more money at finding a better coil than the 1.0 for flavor.

I have a crazy idea @goinpostal, what about an RDTA (Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomiser)?

One of the easiest types of Rebuildable Atomisers that you can use.

There's plenty out there and plenty of decent high end clones or copies to choose from.

But it's just an idea, and I did mention that it was a crazy one.

@goinpostal - Not counting that Freemax tank that the vape shop guy sold you, you've bought some decent set-ups already, IMO. The Aegis Boost, Aegis Solo, and your Zenith tanks are all very popular products made by 2 manufacturers with terrific reputations. Other than buying maybe a few of the 1.6ohm Z-Coils to give them a try...I wouldn't sink any more money into buying totally different set-ups now.

It's possible that if you get the 1.6ohm coils and try different combinations of airflow with your Zenith Pros...that you'll find a "happy place" for your preferred style of vaping with them. Since you love the Boost, but not the leaking...I'd watch some videos, like the ones posted already, to see if a hint for fixing it may be in them. You might want to do a Google search, too, for leaking problems with the Boost pods. Might find some info. that way, too.

You could spend a ton of money buying new set-ups, when it's possible that your current ones could work for you with just some slight adjustments or tweaking. Lots of us have been there, done that before.:)

Yea i just happened to be one of the unlucky ones with most all of my pods leak like crazy. It made its way down thru the airvents and went everywhere.the only workaround is take my pod off and set them on a paper towel. I probably will be trying the new boost just because of the flavor and coils last forever

@JCinFLA, exactly. @goinpostal has got a decent selection of mods, so there's that. Which is good.

I only came up with the idea of an RDTA that can do MTL and restricted DTL as a possible option, that's of course after all other options have been explored with the Zenith Pro.

I've got an Ulton Taifun GX RDTA clone with a GTR drip tip to play with, I'll have to post some info on it when I've finally got round to it. But it looks interesting, airflow controlled by changeable airflow inserts only.

I have thought about that for sure just nervous about trying. I can watch all the videos in the world but cant learn squat....i have to have it in my hand. I also have zero knowledge of ohms and all that. I reckon with the upcoming vapepocolypse i need to get on it though.i do not want to go back to smoking. I have started making my own juice and actually like mine so much better than what i have bought so far

No worries @goinpostal, rebuildable atomisers are a bit daunting at first.

But I have learned myself that RTA's (Rebuildable Tank Atomisers) can be a right pain to work with, as they can form a vacuum in the liquid reservoir and it stops them from working.

RDTA's work differently and they just can't form a vacuum, as they're basically an RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomiser) with a larger liquid capacity. So they're easier to work with then.

Here's a link for the Taifun GX RDTA clone I was on about, just so you can get an idea of how an RDTA sort of works.

ULTON Typhoon GX 23mm 316SS Style RTA 4ml(1:1) - Silver

But as I've said, there's a fair few to choose from out there on the market.

It's been the same for "Me", however - THANKFULLY - I have been helped down the path of uncertainty by a few people, including recently the "Savvy Vape Lady" who has already made a few GREAT suggestions to "You". With her assistance - I now have pre-made coils to use for the "Vapepocolypse". Even started mixing a very simple e-liquid with other ECF Friends assistance too.

As already mentioned to you - Take your time and work with what Ya' have so far and hopefully (like I did) "You" will find what will work for you. . . . BTW: MTL here using Zenith/Zlide & Prism T18 - T22 Tanks right now with coils that are 1.2 and above (really do not like any coil under 1.0 - too much for "Me") and the airflow is set low or closed all the way - some tanks give more clouds then I like - but they do work for me . . . Just Sayin' . . .
