I currently prefer the Viva Nova. I have the Protank(to cool in vapor)airy TH. The Iclear 30 is nice but is not practical for rebuilding. I would like to be able to switch from Plastic to Pyrex when needed.

After switching from Silica to Cotton I find the taste much better.

I'm looking for a warm TH. Also the ability to run Cotton as a wick. Would I be looking at the kayfun ? or would this provide a vape that's not warm like the Protank?

Ceramic does a good job of containing the heat. I guess that's why it's used in the little heaters sometimes. Search fasttech for 'Oddy' and 'Ithaka' for a couple of examples. They use nr, r, nr wire but those connection are easy to make plus they can be bought pre made anymore.

Check out the reo with the rm2 rebuildable. With a short drip tip, the coil is fairly close and should give a warm vape. Check the 'micro coil' thread for some pictures and ideas.

I use the dream 804's. On the standard model, and with a standard drip tip, the coil is about 2 inches away and the vape is slightly warmer than a bottom coil, cooler than a top coil. With a shorty drip tip, the coil is about the same distance as a 510 atty and standard trip tip, which is perfect for me. The extended version would vape much cooler of course.

The ss wick models vape pretty warm, but for me, the heat build up is too much and changes the flavor of my mixes too much to suit me. Cotton can be used in these but they're not the best choice imo.

Good luck and keep us posted on what you decide. :vapor:

If you like the Vivi Nova and just want a juice safe tank, you can do what I did and just get a metal tube for it. Several places have them separately or as part of a complete VN kit.
