Hi REOnauts, My first thread here. I am the proud caretaker of a second hand Grand RTU. Three days now and running. I placed an order for some parts:
springs
positive contacts
6ml bottles
O-rings
feed tubes
spring screws
button

I want to be able to re-build this thing at any time in the future, I know that they are virtually indestructible, but then, we are all human and do human things at times ;)

Any suggestions or recommendations on other parts I may want to add? I do plan on getting a couple more RM2's when funds are replenished for vape gear.

What do you keep on hand for eventualities sake?

Looks like the things you bought are all you'd EVER need. I usually have a spare spring around....and maybe a bottle/feed tube just in case. That's it. But then, I have a spare REO or two, so it's not that critical that I keep a one-and-only REO working. Welcome to Reoville. I saw you buy that one off classifieds. Are you liking it?

/Agree - Your list looks good. I would add a tiny phillips-head screwdriver, and a charger every place you're likely to spend a lot of time - I keep one at home, one at work and one in my rig. Spare battery and juice, of course, but that list looks pretty complete to me.

EDIT: Oh, and a bit of Noalox can be handy too.

I am loving it! REO is something I should have bit the bullet on a long time ago :)

I see you don't have another REO to vape, if you are having to repair your TRA, so you might add another REO Grand to your list...
I've got quite a bit of other gear, I am thinking years ahead on this one, like vapeapocalipse type stuff...

The only thing I don't have is a power supply for 12Vdc for my chargers, but I could solder something up real quick if I ever needed it ;)

Thanks for the posts, keep 'em coming!

Only thing I found that I needed sooner than I thought was positive insulator grommet...

Only moderately collapsed my first spring the other day. Using an igo s I didn't notice my oversized coil was just barely touching the top cap...duh...melted my push button as well....

Though really really liking the vape of the oversized coil using 24g and a 7/64 bit 6 wraps. The 1/8 was too big.

Ah, the 510 connection? is the 510 pin and insulator available parts to order?

Rob mentioned he would be listing everything separately soon. On the website it's only available as of now in the repair kit. Which if you don't have one just order one. You get everything you need pretty much including the grommet.

Mine just wore out.(2) Didn't short or anything just a little leaking. Think I have a sharper than normal edge on mine because I really don't torque down my atomizer. This last time I used a delrin insulator from an old rda and sanded it to fit. Still ordered the grommet as back up...

The only part of a reo I dont sell is the 510 connection . If you need a center post or the insulators I can send you a invoice for anything you dont see on my site . I will be listing the positive contacts on the site early next week

I was going to say that you would do just that but, then I didn't want to put that out there and speak for you.

And that's why everyone loves their REO....

When I bought my 14500 mini more than 3 years ago, I also bought a spring and a feed tube assembly... Never needed them, probably never will.

When I bought my SL Grand, I decided I should have a spare spring and a spare feed tube assembly... bought a spare spring for it and one for the woodville. I can't tell the difference between them (really - I think they're the same spring)... Haven't needed them - probably never will.

Bare minimum - spare spring. Might want someday if it gets flavor saturated - spare feed tube assembly. If you're a button masher - spare upper contact.

3 springs, 2 screws, 1 510 pin and gaskets, 4 RM2 screws, 3 door magnets, a bunch of each size oring, a delerin cover screw, an extra RM2, a couple of the older type firing pins I saved when I upgraded the contacts. I can get by with one of them til I order another mod.

oh and WAY to many bottles and tubes.
